Jane obtained a BSc (Hons) Pharmacy at the University of Strathclyde. After living in Glasgow for 10 years Jane moved to Ontario, Canada where she is a Pharmacy Manager for a large retail chain just outside Toronto. She has been there for 18 months, but plans to leave to go travelling in 2007. Then who knows where!!!!

Gareth is studying for a BSc in Computer Science with Industrial Experience at the University of Manchester. He is a keen canoeist with Manchester University Canoe Club. After many changes in career, she finally found something she loves doing - she is working as an Employment Advisor. She has two "wonderful" children - Ayden and Aimee. She still lives in "sunny" Saltcoats and is enjoying life.
Emma says "Hi" to everyone she went to school with, and has not seen for years.

Susan obtained a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, Statistics and Accounting at the University of Strathclyde. She then went to work at Scottish Amicable in Stirling where she is training to be an actuary. She lives on the south side of Glasgow and still enjoys socialising and catching up with friends. She is still trying to keep out of trouble! She would love to hear from any old friends.

He is now working as a superviser in the West Kilbride Co-Op.

Stewart obtained a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry at Napier University. He 'served a four year sentence' offshore as a Senior Offshore Chemist but has now moved onshore as a Reservoir Development Technician with Shell and is currently studying for an M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering through Heriot Watt's distance learning program. He is engaged, with a daughter born in 2002 and another baby due in September 2006. During his spare time he enjoys riding motorcycles .... except when they crash!

David obtained a BEng (Hons) at the University of Strathclyde. He is now working in Edinburgh for Agilent Technologies. The money is fantastic. He has toured Morrocco which is a 'pretty dangerous place' and went backpacking in the Greek islands. He has a flat in Edinburgh.

Julie lives in Johnstone with her husband and two children and is currently working in a local nursery. In 2003 she will be working in Cochrane Castle primary school. The teacher she remembers most is her chemistry teacher, Mr Dalgleish - he 'used to annoy me for fun!' She enjoys reading books, cooking, going out with friends and messing about on her computer.

Caroline obtained a BSc (Hons) in Medical Biochemistry at the University of Glasgow. After graduating in 1999 she spent five months travelling in Australia and New Zealand. Since January 2000 she has been working at Glasgow University Vet School, doing research into the inflammatory response in cows and has been accepted to do a Ph.D. at Glasgow on a similar subject. She still plays hockey and enjoys socialising with friends old and new, including Jane Hall, Louise Crawford, Marrianne Muir, Julie Laughlan and Morag Carmichael.

Nikki is a Cpl in the British Army. She spent 3 years in Northern Ireland in the cold and 2 years in Cyprus sunning herself. She is still in touch with Vicky Buchanan, Fiona Gillespie and Karen Hamilton-Sharp. Her hobbies include most sports. She is still single and loving it !!

Lorna was a previous Stanley Primary Pupil before moving on to Ardrossan Academy in 1992.
On leaving Ardrossan Academy, she obtained HNCs in Healthcare and 'Supporting Learning Needs' at James watt College.
After completing her HNCs, she worked with North Ayrshire Council as a Family Support Worker for 8.5 years.
She now lives in Aberdeen with her husband and two children - a daughter born in 2007 and a son born in 2009. She is now a devoted full time mum and housewife. She is a Christian and attends a local church on a regular basis. She also attends some church-based toddler groups throughout the week. She enjoys volunteering to help the homeless for their winter care shelters and also for National Childcare Trust. Lorna regularly comes back to the three towns area to visit her family and friends.

On leaving school, Robert did an engineering apprenticeship at Scott Engineering in Stevenston. In 1998 he then worked for G.E. Aircraft Engines in Prestwick. In 2001 he moved up to Arbroath to work for a company called Weatherford Completion Systems. Finally, he left to work for Vetco Gray in Montrose! He likes to keep fit, enjoying cycling, snowboarding, river sports (white water rafting, canyoning etc). He loves his motorbikes - a Ducati 848 for the road and a Honda CBR600RR for the race track. He spends a lot of his spare time around Europe at race tracks.

She has now decided that she prefers working with people rather figures. She has returned to uni to study radiography and is having a great time. She has been married happily since 2001. He then completed a Ph.D in the 'Synthesis of novel oxaazamacrocyclic alkylating agents for use as anti-cancer prodrugs' also at Glasgow, under the supervision of Prof. David Robins. He then began working for Ciba Specialty Chemicals in Paisley. He is still a committed Christian and lives in Maryhill, Glasgow, with his wife Caroline. His other interests include running, skiing, snowboarding, football, and eating.

She then moved to Dublin to complete her basic training for cabin crew with Aer Lingus. She transferred to the company's London base, flying short haul from Heathrow for three years. Since then she has flown long haul with Virgin Atlantic, before going on maternity leave. She is now happily married to Daryl who is an air traffic controller at Heathrow. They live in Windsor with their son, Benjamin.

Matthew is studying for a PhD in Social Geographies at the University of Glasgow. He lives in Glasgow. His pastimes and his PhD are entwined. He is studying the social geographies of outsider groupings, and the Situationist movement in particular. He is not racing the bicycle much these days because of 'uni work an aw that'. He also does 'a little creative writing on the side'. He wants teachers, who had the painful experience of trying to extract homework from him on time, to know that deadlines and memory are still not amongst his strengths!

Vivien's pastimes include working out at the gym, swimming and hill walking. On the more adventurous side, she has tried parasailing, paragliding and has done a parachute jump!! David studied Agriculture at Auchincruive College and graduated with a 2:2 in June 2002. He got a job as operations assistant for a flying school based in Prestwick and became Flight Operations Manager in July 2003. He has also worked as the quality manager for a small scottish charter airline company - mainly ambulance and transplant flights in the middle of the night. He worked for Eirjet for 6 months in Ireland as a flight ops controller. He worked for Atlantic Airlines from the end of December 2006 until July 2009 as the Flight Ops Administrator whilst finishing commercial pilot training. He is now a First Officer, flying night freight for Atlantic.

After completing his PhD in Organic Chemistry at Glasgow University, he starts a new job in September 2006 as a production and development chemist at a Glasgow-based biotech company. Life as a student has been great, but after 7 years he is ready for a change. He is playing rugby again and trying very hard to keep fit ...... but sometimes the lure of the pub is too great!

Jonathan lives in Toms River, New Jersey and works in Nuclear Power Plants across the U.S. He is a member of the Kearny Rangers Supporters Club in New Jersey, so he is still able to see the Rangers games from back home. The only things he misses about Scotland are friends, family and Ibrox.

The podiatry team is small and there is also a podiatric surgeon. Darren hopes to start training to do podiatric foot surgery in the future. His interests include cycling, weight training and cooking .

Since leaving school, Fiona has had several jobs. She then decided that she would be better going back to studying. She studied for an HND in Business Studies at Kilmarnock College and Achieved a merit award. After leaving college she worked as a mortgage administrator in Saltcoats and then went to the bright lights of Glasgow to earn some serious money, starting from working in the property industry to now working for Network Rail. Fiona has been married since 1992 and renewed her wedding vows in Jamaica on her 15th wedding anniversary. She has 2 lovely children, 1 boy, Iain, born 1993 and 1 girl, Catriona, born 1994, and has a really happy life living in Kilwinning, all thanks to her family and friends. Helen has a mini zoo of guinea pigs, rabbits, fantail pigeons, cats and a pot bellied pig. She spends her time motorbiking and taking her vintage cars to shows.

Jamie ended up at Oxford (Exeter College) where he obtained a BA (Hons) in Music. He later qualified as a barrister and is now a banking lawyer in the City, working in a French law firm. He is happily hitched to a Brazilian named Gio. His main pastimes are sleeping, eating, writing/mixing music and travelling. He is happy to hear that Kirsty, Anne, Craig and the rest are all doing well.

In February 2002 Gillian graduated from the University of Paisley with the Diploma of Adult Nursing with Distinction. She works in the Main Theatres department at Crosshouse Hospital where she is a Theatre Nurse. Gillian says she is 'still as mad and as stupid as ever'. She 'still hangs about with the same old crowd doing the same old things' !

He is still playing rugby at club and provincial level and plans on semi-pro next year. Denise graduated from Glasgow University with a degree in Medicinal Chemistry and went on to do an MSc at Glasgow Caledonian University. She is currently working as a senior technician at the University of Strathclyde running the Microanalysis section in the Chemistry Department. She married her husband Paul in December 2006. They still live in Saltcoats, and could open a small petting zoo with all the pets they have!

She is married and has a daughter, Sylvia. She will always be grateful to Mr Devlin and the Ardrossan Academy English department for furnishing her with enough knowledge to be able to hold down steady employment.

On leaving school, Andrew worked for a few years then lived in Oz for a year. When he came back, he went to Stow College and obtained the Advanced Diploma in Music Industry Management & Marketing. He singed a Brit award winning band as part of the course (Belle & Sebastian). His hobbies include socialising, drinking, catching up with old mates, partying, travelling, football (glasgow rangers) updating & working on the metro website.

Donna graduated in 1999 with a 2.1 in Pharmacy at the University of Strathclyde. She is now working in Boots the Chemist in Airdrie. She is currently living in Glasgow, but comes home most weekends. Sadly, she can still at times be found in the Metro!

Calum left school with a keen interest in sports and went to Langside College in Glasgow to study sports coaching. He specialised in outdoor education and now works for the Scottish Sports Council at the National Watersport Centre, on the island of Cumbrae. He teaches sailing on a 32ft Westerly Fularm, and teaches kayaking both on the sea and on moving water. Over the past five years he has become an RYA Yauchtmaster anda level five coach for the SCA. His interests include whitewater kayaking, mountaineering and cycling.

Kevin had a great time studying medicine at the University of Glasgow, graduating in 1998 with an MB.ChB. He then worked in Queensland, Australia, in emergency medicine and anaesthetics for 1 year before coming back to Scotland to do GP training in the Highlands. He enjoys outdoor sports, especially mountain biking and snowboarding but things have cooled off a little since becoming a proud dad to baby Anya in 2002!

David worked in Foxteq Renfrew from 1999 until 2002, the timber trade until 2006 and Hunterston B station during the shutdown. He now lives in Peterborough England. He is now driving lorries and has just recently passed his Class 1 HGV test. Though he split with the childrens' mum, he still remains in Peterborough to watch them grow up.

Billy still stays in Saltcoats. He enjoys sitting down, watching TV and sleeping. He dislikes getting out of bed early, and driving to Greenock every day to get to work - he is currently a Produce Supervisor in Training with Safeway. After graduating she took a few years to forget all she had learned, then got a job in Quality Control at Bioforce, a revolutionary (Legal) herbal remedy company. She is still 'living it up in Saltcoats sol mer' and partying in the Metro. Though she is a Brownie leader, she is thankful she has no kids of her own. At least she can give the Brownies back !

She is currently working for Vodafone. She stays in Glasgow with her sister, Pamela, in their "batchelorette pad" which is great. She enjoys getting drunk, going to the gym and generally having fun.

William joined the army in 1998. He is in the 1st Battalion the Royal Highland Fusiliers. He served 2 years in Fallingbostel, Germany, taking in tours of Poland, Canada and 6 months in Bosnia. The battalion then got posted to Fort George in Inverness, where he was promoted to L/Cpl. He is currently in Northern Ireland in South Armagh. In March 2003 the battalion is moving to Cyprus. His hobbie is football. He recently got engaged to Alison Gowans, also a fomer pupil of Ardrossan Academy.

Gill remembers sitting in Higher Maths and thinking she needed to escape study and Ardrossan so she applied for the Royal Navy as an Aircraft Engineer. She specialises in airframes and engines .... and I loves it ! She has served on all three aircraft carriers in various parts of the world and met wonderful people. She also spent a few years at HMS Gannet at Prestwick working on search and rescue but found it too cold ! She visited Ardrossan Academy once to give a career presentation - that felt strange. Gill lives in Cornwall now, though she still visits family in Scotland. Her spare time is spent walking the dog and gig rowing.

Pamela graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with an honours degree in Multimedia Technology and from Paisley University, Cragie Campus, with a PGCE (Secondary) in Computing. She is now teaching at a small independant school. Her subject is Computing & IT but she is also involved in Guidance, as Head of Year for S2. Her pastimes are largely centred around school life and involve the production of the school magazine and successful debate teams. As a successful debate coach she has recently been asked to join the Scotland Schools International Debating Council which has responsability for the Scotland team and the World Championships in Dundee 2011. Away from school, Guiding still plays a large part in her life and she is now unit guider for her local unit.
