Steven obtained an HND in Music Performance and Business at James Watt College. After some "proper jobs", he decided to make a living out of playing the guitar and now works for Yamaha, teaching the "great unwashed" how to play the guitar. He spends his spare time practising, playing, recording and jamming.

Richard obtained an HNC in Weld Fabrication and NDT at Fife College. He still lives in Ardrossan and works as an off-shore weld inspector for oil and gas pipe lines - a job which takes him all over the world. Looking back, he misses Ardrossan Academy - 'a good school' and 'the best in the area'. He would like to thank all the teachers who taught him.

Elizabeth attended the South Glasgow College of Nursing & Midwifery and is now a 1st Level Registered Nurse. She has recently returned from working on a cruise liner which travelled to Mexico and LA. She is single, lives in Irvine and would like to hear from anyone who remembers her!!!!

When Joe left school he became an apprentice toolmaker. The factory shut down after 3 years so he joined the Army. After only two months in the Army Joe broke a bone in his hand, was discharged and decided not to return. He is now in full-time employment. Joseph has been going out with Jennifer Hughes, also a former pupil of Ardrossan Academy, since 2003. His hobbies are still the same - drinking, eating and sleeping. He says 'Hiya' to all the pals he has lost touch with over the years.

David obtained an HDN in Electronic & Electrical Engineering at Farnborough College of Technology. He is married with three kids, living in New hampshire USA. He moved there in 1998 and enjoys a great life living amongst all the "YANKS".

Kelly is a qualified Air Hostess, currently working with Britannia Airways. At the end of 2003 she will be promoted to senior Cabin Crew member with British Airways. She enjoys working with lots of different people and being a "Trolly Dolly". The atmosphere at Britannia is brilliant but she can't wait until she gets promoted! Kelly likes to keep fit and go to Harvies. She would like to thank her teachers, especially her favourite teacher Dr Oates. If it wasn't for the teachers at Ardrossan Academy she (says) she would never be where she is now.

After moving to Australia in 1989, Ronnie finished High school and went on to further studies. He is currently employed as a Quality Control Officer for Amcor Fibre Packaging Australasia. They have bought their first house and are living in Wishaw. Their son, born 1994, starts secondary school in 2006 which is nerve wracking but otherwise all is well. Fiona enjoys reading and walking her two dogs, Ebony and Bailey.

She is also the Constituency Labour Party Secretary for the Camberwell & Peckham CLP. She is married and living in London. She enjoys meeting up with friends, listening to music and doing voluntary work.

His hobbies are supporting the mighty Glasgow Rangers, a bit of exercise, drinking and playing the x-box!

David is studying for a BSc Hons Maths and Computer Science at the University of Strathclyde. He says he is "still as lazy as ever" and "still has the same aversion to any kind of academic work" and that it is a "miracle he is still at uni". He still plays football and has just returned from a three month spell in the USA where he was a football coach. He hopes to get in touch with old mates from school so that he will have yet another excuse for going out!

He then travelled about, backpacking round Australia etc, and spent 5 years living and working in Aberdeen. He is now married and living in Stepps, North Glasgow. Although not as regular at Sullivans and the Hip Flask as he used to be, David can still be found at Rugby Park, cheering on the Killie every 2nd Saturday.

He then joined the Safeway graduate programme and worked in different locations in the west of Scotland. He has been with T-Mobile since 2000 and is currently the Management Information & Analysis Manager for customer service in the UK. He has had the opportunity to work across Europe with lots of interesting people. During his time with T-Mobile he has completed a BA in Business Studies. Mark got married to Mandy in 1999 and had an "adorable" baby boy (Ben) in 2006. He is keeping busy dabbling in property rental and development and attempting to play golf. He hopes that everyone, he went to school with, is enjoying life!

Laurence obtained a BA in Business & Management (Sales & Marketing) at the University of Paisley. He is currently working for an office interior design company in East Kilbride. He took a year out from uni and worked for Volkswagen Headquarters in Milton Keynes. He does most of his drinking and womanising in Glasgow but has been known to still frequent the dreaded "Metro" from time to time!

Nicola obtained a 2:1 honours degree at the University of Strathclyde then worked in Dublin doing Web Design for eBay. She then came back to Scotland and did a post grad in Education but, instead of becoming a teacher, she has ended up working at the Home Office although she says, "You never know - one day I may return to Ardrossan Academy as an Art Teacher !!"

As a pastime, John enjoys DJ'ing to an audience consisting of his cat, his deaf flatmate, and a life-sized effigy of his old friend, Miss Stella Artois !!! On leaving school, Gavin returned to his country of birth (Canada) where he stayed for several years before returning to the UK (Cambridgeshire). In Oct 2001 he married his English wife in Jamaica. Currently they have no children. He works for the World's largest food manufacturer as a Business Analyst at their Italian Headquaters in Milan and, fortunatley for him, he can still wear jeans instead of a uniform! He is also learning classical guitar. He lives in Glasgow and is working for the Scottish Consumer Council as the project administrator for the Health Rights Information Scotland team, an administrator for the SCC and is in charge of the IT strategy for the SCC. He had a great time as an academic economist at Brunel Univeristy, Oxford University and London Business School before moving into the corporate world with the BBC, Time Warner and now Ofcom, where he runs Ofcom's Internet Policy team. He is very happily married to Aynsley and has a football-playing daughter Iona - she signed for Charlton at 8 ! He lives in Kent and is hoping to hear from anyone out there from the old days.

Gary trained as a chef and played football for Dumbarton before joining the Royal Corp of Signals. He was seconded to 264 (now 18UKSF) SAS Signals but dislocated his knee and left the army. He then became a writer and has had 5 pieces of work published. He also works as a Marketing Supervisor for a national building company. Gary is a father of two and is married to a "wonderful woman". He is learning guitar and is an avid Queen and Iron Maiden fan.

He is now working and living in Sydney, Australia and is currently a New Products Engineer for a medical device company which manufactures hearing solutions for deaf people. He enjoyed several years of the 'rock and roll' lifestyle in Glasgow before moving back home and marrying his teenage sweetheart, Carol, in 2000. They now have a son, Samuel, who has just discovered his feet. 'Life is swell'.

Niall obtained a BA Hons in Public Sector Management 2:1 at Glasgow Caledonian University. He currently works in Tesco in Glasgow. After university his career went on hold when his wife Margaret fell pregnant with their first child, Tom. They now have 4 children in total: Tom, Jemima, Harry and Jimmy. He wishes he could use his degree more but, needs must, and his store assistant supervisor pays the rent etc. His hobbies include fixing up his old Cortina 2.0L injection, darts, drinking with his workmates and watching TV. Ross obtained an HND in Audio Engineering at Perth College. He is currently serving with the British Army in Kosovo as a Combat Radio Technician. His hobbies include free-fall, base jumping and still trying to play the guitar. He recently qualified as an Arctic warfare and survival instructor and physical training instructor so his career is progressing fast. After working at the Scottish Executive Health Department as a statistician for 16 months she was promoted to work for the NHS. She is currently working on modelling waiting times and strategic planning. She lives in Edinburgh and enjoys studying contemporary dance in her spare time. She is planning to travel round Eastern Europe for a month in November 2003.

He has since worked for Orange, designing mobile networks, until he decided to work on a contract basis. Since then he has worked in Germany and is now currently back in the UK working on 3G/UMTS Design with BTcellnet. He recently got married to Laura White (former pupil) and they are enjoying life as a couple. His hobbies include travelling and winter sports.

After finishing university she moved to Kent and worked for a Pharmaceutical company as a Senior Analyst in the labs. Since 2001 she has been living just south of the border, now working as an Operational Quality Manager for another Pharmaceutical company. She is 'still having fun and living life to the full'.

Robin obtained an 'Advanced Craft Carpentry and Joinery' at Ayr College and an HNC in 'Furniture Craftsmanship' at James Watt College. He was 'self employed' for a few months then he worked for a few joinery firms and fitting UPVC. He then fitted treehouses all over the UK and northern Europe for a Fenwick based company. On leaving there, he is now in Slough, building doors, windows and some furniture. He is a workshop foreman. As a sideline, he is still building 'Tree Houses'. The Fenwick website www.peartreehouse.com displays the type of tree house he builds now and some of the ones he built when he was working for them. After leaving school Gillian trained as a Primary teacher and obtained a B.Ed at Craigie College, Ayr. She worked in Fife for a while before returning to the west coast. She is now teaching P1 at Whitehirst Park Primary in Kilwinning. 29 five-year-olds really keep her on her toes but at least she can "hand them back at the end of the day!" She hopes to hear from her old friends soon!

David is interested in botany and plant cultivation. He plays in a band and 'hangs about' with Alan, Ross and Ross. On leaving school Ian went to Perth College to do an HND in Music. At this time he had some success in a band called 'The Drunken Butterflys'. Ian also obtained a BSc in Music Technology and Electronics at Glasgow Caledonian University. He worked for 3 years in a music shop as a guitar tech/sales person/skivy. He played 'T in the Park' 2000/01 with his band Terra Diablo who also had an EP out in 2001 and will release a single on B-Unique records in September 2002. They play in London/Glasgow/Edinburgh regularly and work with Big Life Management in London. They have done radio sessions for Session in Scotland and Air on Radio Scotland. He is also working as a Lecturer at Ayr College, teaching studio and live sound subjects to HND level.

LeeAnne obtained an HND in Tourism at the University of Paisley. She lives in London, working for British Midlands as a 'trolley dolly'! She is hoping to move to St. Tropez next summer with her future husband, a pilot for British Midlands ! She hopes that all her friends are enjoying work and the lovely sunshine in Saltcoats - she 'will think of you all while lying in the sun...ta rar' !
Fenwick, Ross

Ross qualified from Glasgow University in 2000 with a BSc Honours in Environmental Chemistry. He then went to Ghana for 4 months and worked as a volunteer maths teacher. The pupils didn't learn a thing! When he returned he got a job with Shanks Chemical Services but left the job after a year because it wasn't 'eco-friendly' enough! He is currently studying for an MSC in Waste Management at Glasgow Caledonian University - he finishes in September 2003. He is learning about the other 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! Ross enjoys supporting Scotland Football Club (someones got to!) and comes home and as often as possible. He still plays a bit of golf and football and enjoys running, particularly in Queens Park.

Calum obtained a B.Sc Hons (2.1) in Prosthetics & Orthotics at the University of Strathclyde. Since graduating in 1998 he has worked in Newcastle-upon-Tyne as an orthotist. This involved working in hospitals with orthopaedic patients who required various forms of corrective/accomodative bracing or splinting. From 1999 he worked in hospitals in Edinburgh. Calum now lives in Angus and works in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, as an Orthotist. He is married with two children.
