Jean went to work at Ravenspark Hospital. She has twin girls and two boys. She has a partner called Ian but is a widow. She enjoys shopping, eating out, clothes, and drinking.

Lisa left Ardrossan Academy in 1988 to go to Prestwick Academy. She obtained a BA Nursing Studies and Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Analytical Hypnotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University.

She lives in Kilmarnock with her husband, baby daughter and Alfie the Yorkie!

David obtained an HND Science and Technology at Stow Technical College, Glasgow. He left college in 1985 and started working for Roche Products in Dalry - he's still there! He took to learning Gaelic and Scottish History. He is Branch organiser for Ardrossan SNP and stood for Council in the last election. Since he couldn't get away with it for ever, he finally married Patrice Cannon (ex Ardrossan Academy) in 1997. They have a son Ruairidh who was born in October 1998.

Hazel attended Kilmarnock College and is now a care assistant working in a local nursing home in Portlethen Aberdeenshire, and also the local General Hospital. She is married and has a son called Christopher. Her parents still live in Ardrossan along with her sister Jane.

Stephen obtained an HNC at Reid Kerr College. He is a web developer with Scottish Radio Holdings PLC based in Radio Clyde, Clydebank. He builds websites for the group's radio stations including West Sound Radio in Ayr.

She graduated from Napier University with a BA in Commerce and Business French.
She taught Business Studies at Stranraer Academy then moved to Tobermory High School where she was promoted to Senior Teacher. She then undertook a teacher exchange to Australia and teaches Computing at Bellingen High School. She met her husband, Lee, in Australia. They live in Coffs Harbour (near Brisbane) and have 3 children, Eilidh (born 1995), Mhairi (born 1997) and Ruari (born 2002). Pastimes include hockey and driving around the country taking her children to various sporting events and Highland Games. Frieda would love to hear from old friends. Does anyone have photos from the reunion in 2004?

Ian obtained a B.Sc (Hons) in Mining and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, where he also met his wife, Jacky.

He then left the country to work in Gold Mining in South Africa. He returned two years later and joined the oil industry. He is now working in Aberdeen with Transocean, after stints in Brasil and Nigeria.

He has three children, two at university in Glasgow and one ready to go on a gap year. He became a Christian a few years ago and a lot of his spare time is dedicated to church activities.
He is still a fan of the once mighty, but now falling fast, Dons. He even has a season ticket !!

After doing Hotel Management and Bakery courses at college for four years, Lorraine worked as a catering manager in Glasgow. It took her a few years to realise that this was not what she wanted to do, so she did an Access course at college to get her into University. She completed a B.Sc.in Environmental Health at the University of Strathclyde. She now works as an environmental health officer in Angus.
Lorraine is married to Richard and has a son Adam. She would love to hear from anyone who knows her.

Richard obtained a B.A. in Economics and Business Law at the University of Strathclyde. He has now settled or fallen into the heady world of Purchasing. He has been working for Vauxhall Motors in Luton since 1996 which has opened up the possibility of visiting countries like Brazil, Morocco, Sweden, Spain and Germany but, he says, "none of these beat a wet night in the Crown Inn, Saltcoats !". Richard got married in 1989, had 2 children and is now living in the Bedfordshire wilderness, happily divorced. He still keeps in touch with Mario Niro and Fiona McColl (Mrs Niro) and would like to hear from anyone else who remembers him - "as long as they don't support Celtic !"

After leaving school Eric trained as a junior Materials Laboratory Technician at Hunterston. After working there for almost 6 years he was transferred to England. After spending 7 months in England he was transferred to Hong Kong where he worked on the new Airport for 2 years. After Hong Kong he spent 1 year travelling in Australia. He arrived back in the UK in 1999 and has worked in many parts of this country. He is now in Newcastle running his own laboratory.

After leaving school Iain served a 4 year apprenticeship with McCrindle Engineering in Ardrossan, during which he obtained an HND in Construction Management at the University of Paisley. On leaving McCrindle's, he worked in contracts around Scotland before going to Hong Kong with Sharri Mack. In Hong Kong he worked in construction and became a Construction Manager at the new airport site. He came back to Scotland and has been working for himself ever since. Iain enjoys golfing with the Seamill Seagulls, jetskiing, wakeboarding, snow skiing and football. He would like to hear from anyone who knew him.

On leaving school, Gavin trained as a School Science Technician, attended Stow College on a "day release" basis and achieved an H.N.C. in Science Laboratory Technology. He has worked, as a science technician, in various North Ayrshire Schools, and is currently at Largs Academy. Gavin lives in Ardrossan. His hobbies include swimming, cycling, weight training and playing music. He plays accordion and bass guitar in the local 'Boguillie' Band. Linda worked in Duncan's in Saltcoats for 8 years. She was married to Andy and they had 2 daughters, Nicole and Rachael. They emigrated to Canada in 1988 but returned to Saltcoats in 1991. Linda obtained an HNC in Administration and Information Management at James Watt College in June 2001 and started working for Alzheimers Scotland as a Project Administrator in September 2001. Unfortunately, in 2002, Andy died in an accident. In 2006 she met and married Malcolm Reid. Her hobbies are reading, movies, eating-out and socialising. She would love to hear from anyone who remembers her.

In 1999 he obtained the degree of Safety Engineering and Risk Management at Aberdeen University and has worked there, as a Safety Engineer, ever since. His hobbies include electronics, scuba diving and water skiing. To relax he generally plays computer games on the internet and fixes things around the house.

Alan obtained a BSc(Hons) BArch from the University of Strathclyde and started work immediately for a firm of architects. Being impatient to succeed, he then joined the management division of John Laing PLC, as a trainee project manager and secured sponsorship for his postgraduate degree in 1989. In a moment of madness, he applied to British Airways for a place on their sponsored pilot training scheme and was accepted out of 10,000 entrants. Except for a two year 'stand-down', during which he started his own business as an Architect and Project Manager, he has been working for BA ever since as an Airline Pilot. He has flown everything, from 4-seater props to the Boeing 747-400. He spends most of his time in a daze with jet lag (or regular red wine tastings) and playing with his beautiful daughter Jenny. He is currently with an Italian ex-ballerina who drives him crazy with communication problems but her flexibility does make things interesting!

He is married with two children and is the managing director of a computer services business in Kilmarnock.  He has been around Scotland and now lives in West Kilbride. He is still very tall but slightly rounder now.

Alison obtained a BA in Accountancy at Galsgow College of Technology.
When she left college she went to work at a CA firm in Blackpool before returning to Scotland two years later. She is now Company Secretary to a farming/plumbing business. She lives in Drymen and is married to Graeme (another former pupil). They have two girls. She'll be happy to hear from anyone who remembers her.

Bev obtained degrees in Vet Nursing and Advanced Dip CABPT at the University of Glasgow (GUVS).

She lives in South Ireland and is saving up to come home to Scotland. Her jobs include Vet Nursing and running her own Companion Animal Behavioral Consultancy. She is a founder member of the APDT Ireland. She is also a Canine Emergency First Responder Instructor, a Wildlife nurse and is involved in rehabilitation, rescue etc. She keeps lots of rescue pets and helps with rescues, fostering and fundraising.

Bev and her husband are advanced scuba divers and travel the world to amazing dive sights when they can.

On leaving school, Yvette did a variety of different jobs before starting work for a local charity, where she became Service Provision Manager, after obtaining a BA (Hons) in Social Work. She is now a Criminal Justice Social Worker, working in Her Majesty's Prisons, and really enjoying this type of work.
She is still interested in horses, trying to keep fit and going 'out with the girls' for a couple of glasses of wine! She lives in West Kilbride with her daughter Gabi who, in 2013, was in her 6th year at Ardrossan Academy, leaving in May to go to College. Yvette loved her time at Ardrossan Academy and would love to hear from anyone who was at school with her.

Hazel worked as an Accounts Assistant for three years in Perth, then went to work with Perth & Kinross Council where she still works.
She married Bruce Greig in 2008 and has a daughter Morgan, born in 2007, and a son Innes, born in 2009. From school she fondly remembers Mr Mitchell and Mr Kerr in Art, Mr Maltby in Biology and Mrs Clements in English. Also, who could forget 'Balf' Mr Brown in English, 'Fossill' Mr Forsyth in Geography and Mr Blakely in Classics. If anyone still knows Lorna Colquhoun or her whereabouts or married name, Hazel would love to get in touch with her and be happy to hear from anyone else who knew her. She had red frizzy hair and freckles and was pretty straight laced! "Thankfully", she says "improvements have been made!"

Elaine gained an MA (Hons) in Economic History at the University of Glasgow. She has worked around Europe, culminating with a chilly year in Moscow. Her brother Iain died suddenly in 1997, leading to a re-focus of her life - his kids are very close to her heart. In 1999 she returned to Scotland to work in the whisky industry, banking and is currently working for Dell, bringing 1500 jobs to Glasgow.

After leaving school, Stuart started work with Ryddale Blinds in Ardrossan. After 2 years there, he attended Kilmarnock College and gained a City and Guilds in Diesel Mechanics. After failing to secure work in his chosen subject he was offered a job back in the window blind industry. Stuart continued to work in the industry for several years before taking up sales jobs with RAC and latterly British Gas.

Not many of his friends knew of his bagpipe playing, however he managed to play with the world famous Shotts and Dykehead pipe band for several years, winning many prizes. Stuart has been married and divorced! He has 2 beautiful girls who now live in Sydney. In 2010 Stuart was offered a position within Western Australia Police as a musician and now happily resides in a beautiful suburb of Perth, Western Australia, where he enjoys the sunshine, beaches and outdoor life in one of the world's most beautiful cities.

Tony graduated from Inverness College in 1987 and began formal training as a certified accountant with the local firm of BDO Stoy Hayward Chartered accountants. After completing this training he moved to several of the financial roles in industry and commerce and currently holds the position of group financial controller of a firm of consulting engineers based in Glasgow. He has just recently got married and has a child on the way. His main interest is supporting Rangers FC and playing as much football as his job will allow.

She trained as a nurse while living in England, just outside Derby. She is now back in Scotland (Bridge of Weir). She would like to hear how anyone else from school days is getting on.

Alison became a Registered General Nurse training in Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps. She obtained a Diploma in Nursing and Orthopaedic Nursing Certification from Oxford Polytechnic.
She lived and worked in Florida, USA from 1992 to 2007. She now works as a nurse at Ayr Hospital and is living in West Kilbride. She married Vincent who is Italian. They have a son, Anthony, and a daughter, Francesca. For fun they like to travel and spend time with family and friends.

After leaving school Andrew started in Govan shipyard as a spray painter for a couple of years. He changed his career to engineering/construction in 1989 and worked his way up to superviser. He got married and has four children: Lauren, Marrisa and Andrew by his exwife and Nicole by his new partner Susi whom he met while working in Sweden. He now lives in Kilmarnock after moving from Sweden in 2000. His hobbies are golf and football. Andrew would like to hear from anyone who remembers "those great school years of 78-82".

Billy obtained an HND in Marine Electrical-Electronic Engineering at Glasgow College of Nautical Studies. He then joined the merchant navy and was employed by an international shipping company as an electro-technical officer. He travelled all over the world: north/south america, far east ......... you name it! He is now working for P & O European Ferries on their Liverpool to Ireland route. He still lives in Ardrossan, with partner Sharon and two daughters, Jasmin and Shania. He says "hello" to everyone who knows him.

Married name: Judy Watton

Judy obtained an HNC in Hairdressing and various other qualifications at Kilkmarnock and South Lanarkshire colleges. She has been a hairdresser since leaving school and is now lecturing in SLC.
She left Ardrossan in 1990 and had a brief stay in England before returning to West Kilbride to party for a few years. She lived in Kilmarnock for a few years before marrying and settling in Hamilton. She loves her life!

Married name: Allanna Brown

Allanna is married to Adrian. They have two sons Ayrton and Alex and live in Yorkshire. Allanna visits Ardrossan often, to see her family.
Scott, Gordon

Left school in 1985.

Gordon obtained a B.Sc in Industrial chemistry at the University of Paisley and a post graduate diploma in Bulk Solids Handling Technology at Glasgow Caledonian University. He then worked at Royal Ordanance in Bishopton and then moved on to Trading Standards in Dumfries and Galloway. He was also engaged in a project looking at the transportation of coal in slurry pipelines. Sadly, Gordon died on Friday 22 January 2010. He had fond memories of his time at Ardrossan Academy, especially in the Chemistry department. He was a keen Celtic supporter and enjoyed watching snooker and playing pool.

She lives in Ardrossan with her two "gorgeous kids" Jessica (born 1995) now at Ardrossan Academy and David (born 1997). She would like to hear from any of "the old crew".

Wendy obtained a BSc in Building Economics and Quantity Surveying at Heriot Watt University.
She lived in Edinburgh for a total of 17 years before returning to her roots and coming back to live in Portencross. She is married to Stewart - they met when they were both working for Bovis Construction on the Buchanan Galleries Project in Glasgow. Wendy is currently work as Commercial Manager for a company called 3ED - a consortium which was specially set up to build and manage Glasgow Secondary Schools. Her hobbies include gardening and aerobics.

Fiona studied at NESCOT and Christchurch University, Canterbury. She obtained an RGN at Epsom Hospital, a B.Sc in Community Health Care and Teaching and Assessing Clinical Practice and a DMS. She trained as a nurse in Epsom, then trained as a District Nurse Teamleader with lots of studying in between, and getting married and having children. This all led to her eventually becoming a teacher in Kent Fire and Rescue service.

He graduated from Aberdeen University in 1996 with a degree in Political Studies (A joint Honours degree in Politics and International Relations) gaining an upper second. He graduated from Aberdeen University in 1998 with an M.Ed degree and from the University of Hull in 2000 with an MA in International Politics. He has also obtained a Ph.D, in aspects of European Integration, at Aberdeen University. He is currently a Teaching Fellow at the School of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews.

After several moves round the country, he has finally settled in Swindon, Wilts, working for Amey at their Head Office in Oxford. He is married to Carolyn Stevenson (a former pupil) with two boys, Daniel and Callum. He still enjoys heavy metal music and going to concerts and festivals regularly with the rest of the family. Annette obtained a Fellow of ICB and a Diploma in Administrative Management at the University of NCSL.
She moved to England in 1986 and worked for the Health Authority briefly, before departing for a tour of Australia - working, backpacking, socialising, etc. She returned to Scotland, then back to England to work in an Accountancy firm.

She married Simon. They have two children, Katie and Ross. She enjoys running, reading, cooking and travelling.

Since leaving school Scott has been living in Manchester. He obtained a City and Guilds at the University of Salford/Manchester College. He followed an apprenticeship in floor Laying which he has been doing for fourteen years. Being self-employed he decided to leave the UK and travel around Australia for a year, spending five weeks travelling around Thailand. He is now back in Manchester but is planning to migrate to Australia to live. He has been with his girlfriend since 1995 - and no children!!. He regularly visits Ardrossan to visit his mother and to see a few old faces. He would like to hear from anyone who remembers him from school.

When Ian left school he fully intended studying English Literature at Glasgow University. However he foolishly fell for the bright lights and monetory attractions of a job in the big city. He continues to work in Glasgow and is now director of a Corporate Brokers. He is studying for that elusive degree, part time, at Glasgow University and like Colin lambert can be found in the Galleon on Christmas Eve. He lives in the west end with his girlfriend Jo.

Karen graduated with a B.Ed from Jordanhill in 1991. She moved to Johnstone and began her teaching career in sunny Gourock. Then she started a new job in Kilbarchan Primary School. She moved to Kilmacolm in 1997 and is doing some work in Kilmacolm Primary School. She is currently studying French at Glasgow University and also at the Alliance Francaise, hoping to take her career on a different path. Karen, and husband David, have 3 sons called Andrew, Lewis and Justin. She continued to play volleyball after she left school but has since found a new passion...tennis! Tam obtained a B.Eng (Hons) Civil Engineering at the University of Paisley. After two years working in Scotland, he was sent to London. On getting married to Lorna Colquhoun they spent two years in Malaysia, two years in Bangladesh and currently live in St. Lucia in the West Indies. During this time Lorna had to keep 'nipping back' to Scotland to have two daughters (Rowan & Rosa) and son Findlay. Tam is currently Project Manager on a 28 km road construction project. He hardly gets enough time to play golf due to work, but does, however, find the odd moment to indulge in some of the local rums! He is still in touch with Rab McKechnie, James Armstrong, Malky Stanger, Stuarty Dunbar, Mike Rhodes and Ross Lang but will talk to most people.

Malcolm obtained a B.Eng (Hons) in 'Technology with Industrial Studies' at Napier University. He is married to Mary and has been living in Perth since 1999. They have 3 boys: Joe (2000), Rory (2003) and Calum (2007). He has been working for Michelin in Dundee since 2012 and enjoying life. He still loves skiing and mountain biking when not ferrying the kids around to various activities. He occasionally comes to West Kilbride to visit his mum and meet up with old friends.

Carol attended Paisley University and Reid Kerr College. She is currently working as a telecoms specialist at Carlson Worldchoice Travel Agent and is also studying for a Diploma in Aromatherapy. She is interested in all alternative therapies for animals as well as humans. Carol spends most of her spare time horse-riding. She would like to know if anyone is going to organise a reunion?

On leaving school, Christine 'wandered around aimlessly' for a few years. She hitched to Birmingham and stayed there for 10 years. She finally came home and settled in Kilmarnock with her partner, Stuart, who has his own business as a joiner. Grant obtained a degree in Communications and Electronics at Napier College. Unsuccessful for the RAF, he went offshore on seismic and hydrographic ships travelling all over the world. In 1999 he trained full time to become a pilot, returning to West Kilbride while flying for Loganair. In 2005 he joined Netjets, flying the stars of the film, music and business world around Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He lives in Inverness with his partner and her wierd cat.

Emma obtained a BSc Honours degree in Chemistry at the University of Leicester where, at nineteen, she was the youngest graduate on record! She then took a year off and worked at Butlins in Ayr where she met her husband, James Merry (they married in 1990) and have two beautiful children, Christopher 1994 and Andrew 1999. After completing a PGCE at Jordanhill College in 1989 Emma took a teaching job in Ilford London and is now a senior teacher at Roding Valley High School.

He served in Bosnia and Kosovo. He is still serving and living in Newbury, Berkshire. His interests include keeping fit and playing guitar in an amateur rock band.

Mark joined the army in October 1987. He was in The Royal Highland Fusiliers Princess Margaret's Glasgow and Ayrshire Regiment. After serving almost nine years with operational tours in Belize, Northern Ireland, The Gulf war and Bosnia, he left the army on 28 May 1996 and joined H.M.Prison Service at a high security prison in Cambridgeshire.

He then spent 2 years in Ayr completing his traineeship where he met Aline. He then moved to a small firm of solicitors in Kilmarnock where he is now a partner.
He has lived in Kilmarnock since 1992. He married Aline in 1994 and their son, Cameron, was born in 1995. He dabbled in amateur operatics for a couple of years, playing Buffalo Bill in "Annie Get Your Gun" at the Palace Theatre. He spent about 12 years as a member of Kilmarnock Round Table where he met many new friends. He is trying to indulge in his favourite pastimes of playing golf (badly) and hillwalking as much as possible but seems to struggle to find time.

Stephen obtained an NC in Outdoor Pursuits with Merit and Commendation at James Watt College. He currently works for SportScotland at the national centres in Largs (sports) and Cumbrae (watersports) teaching various watersports and archery. He has been to South America, the Carribean, Spain and the UK. He has been on a Raleigh International expedition. He is currently single and seeking. He enjoys sailing, windsurfing, cycling, hillwalking, music, booze and playstation.

He went back to hotels before ending up in Newport Rhode Island, America, in 1998. He left there in Nov 2001 and moved down to Lynchburg Virginia USA to take over as manager of a private country club. He then worked in Lake Placid Lodge in upstate NY USA catering to the very wealthy. He now lives on the Isles of Scilly. He married Katherine whom he met in Aberdeen in July 1995. Still not ready to face working life, he moved to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and stalled for another 5 years by picking up an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics. Since graduating from the University of Victoria in late 1995, he has had great fun working as a software developer and project manager, and recently started his own software contracting business in Vancouver, Canada. The Seamill Hydro has a lot to answer for, because Gavin is still in the Catering game. He first left West Kilbride to work as a waiter in the Airds Hotel in Port Appin and then got a 'proper job' in Norwich as a Management Trainee with Travellers Fare station catering! From there he joined First Leisure and eventually became Catering & Retail Manager of Blackpool Tower. After a stint with M&S dabbling in High Street Retail, he now runs the Food & Beverage Division of the Center Parcs Resort in Suffolk and lives happily with his wife Heather and daughter Amey in Bury St Edmunds. They love travelling and disappear as often as possible anywhere in the World. Other than that, Gavin likes plenty of eating and drinking with plenty of emphasis on the latter.
