Elaine graduated in Chemistry from the University of Paisley in 1992. She obtained a PhD at Glasgow University in 1996. She gained her teaching certificate from St Andrew's College in Chemistry and General Science in 1998 and, after working as a supply teacher in North, South and East Ayrshire, she now has a permanent contract teaching at Girvan Academy.

After leaving school, David worked in the computer games industry for a few years before obtaining a degree in Electronics and Computer Science from the University of Strathclyde. He now lives in Seattle, Washington, USA with his Japanese wife Mikiko and daughters Nicola and Natalie. He works for Microsoft as a program manager and is a respected speaker and author in the field of management and agile software development. In 2003 Prentice Hall published his first book, 'Agile Management for Software Engineering'. His hobbies remain skiing and mountain biking. They have 3 kids and enjoy skiing, boating and basically enjoying life to the full. He misses Scotland, and would move back, but there is no real semi-conductor industry left in Scotland for him to get a job.

Rogerio obtained a B.Sc in Building Surveying and an M.Sc in Property Development at Glasgow College of Building and De Monfort University respectively. He now lives in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and, having worked as a Head of Asset Management, a Head of Capital Investment and a Programme Director, he now owns a Development and Consultancy business.

He revisited Ardrossan and Saltcoats in the summer of 2010 and stayed at the Seamill Hydro with his two children Ash and Rog and his new partner, April. They met up with his old friend, Gavin Pllu and his family.

David obtained a BA Hons at the University of Strathclyde. After leaving university he moved to London to work for BT. After several years in London and then Hertfordshire he moved out to an old thatched house in Norfolk where he now works for BT from home. He travels into London a couple of days a week. He is married with two sons, Angus and James. He runs and swims 'to keep the weight off' and also has a rather large garden to look after.

Donald obtained a BA in Accountancy at Glasgow Caledonian University. He then spent 2 years in Toronto with ICI before being transfered to Dallas Texas where he now lives with his American wife Sheila. He is the North Texas Market Unit Financial Process Manager for Pepsi - an awfully long title that means 'Controller'. He still plays rugby ( for Dallas Rugby Club) and has played for the Texas All Stars. Donald wants to say a Big O'l Howdie (as they say in Texas) to all his old class mates.

After leaving school Iain spent some time on various YTS schemes before moving to Workington with his parents. He spent two years at West Cumbria College where he obtained a BTEC Diploma in Computing and Business Management. He then spent a short unsuccessful year at Napier. He joined the army in 1988 and served in Northern Ireland and Belize, leaving in 1991 with an exemplary conduct record. Iain is single, lives in Morpeth and works in Newcastle Upon Tyne as a manufacturing technician for a company which supplies high tech medical equipment to labs and hospitals all over the world. Iain would like to hear from anyone who knows him.

Jonathan completed a BA in Theology at the International Christian College. While at college he met his future wife, Yvonne Hodges, who is from Kenilworth, just outside Coventry. They got married in 2002. Jonathan worked in a church in Glasgow for a couple of years. He lived in Govanhill working at Jessops Photographics in Union street Glasgow. He is now living in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, working as the church pastor in 'Olive Tree Christian Fellowship - Elderslie, Renfrewshire'. His interests include photography, music (piano), camping, walking and reading.

She still likes to horse-ride and get out into the countryside, party when possible and lives for the weekends and winning the lottery!!!

He got married in 1997 to Margaret. He has two step children and they all stay in Paisley. He enjoys most outdoor sports but mainly watches, and does not participate.

Robert attended Glasgow University reading Mechanical/Production engineering followed by a postgraduate in computers at Napier. He is married to Terry from New Zealand and lives in London where he works as a software consultant in the city. He is emigrating to Auckland at the end of 2002. He meets up with Stephen Marshall for a few beers most Friday lunchtimes and keeps in touch with Ian Cleland and Robin Brown in Hong Kong.

He now works as an Information Architect for a downtown Toronto ad agency, as well as a freelance graphic designer. Aaron got married in 2002 to Kirsten who gave birth to their daughter Zoe in November 2004. After graduating, he worked all over Scotland, England and Ireland for the specialist ground engineering division of Balfour Beatty. After deciding that he did not like the recession, he moved to the Australian division of one of their competitors where he now works as Senior Project Manager. He is now based in Melbourne.

When she left school, Elizabeth did a YTS in labs at Beechams. She then obtained an RGN at Glasgow Royal School of Nursing and pursued a career in Nursing followed by Midwifery and a Health Degree. She is presently a midwife at Labour Suite Ayrshire Central. She is married to Grant, living in Troon, with three children: John, Marcia and Gilly.

Jamie obtained a BSc in Chemistry at the University of Glasgow. After leaving university, he attended a furniture design course at the College of Building and Printing in Glasgow, a profession in which he is now employed. He is a keen angler and footballer and finds his weekends full with many outdoor activities. He is also a very keen cook and regularly entertains friends and family with lavish dinner parties.

Gillian obtained an HNC in Secretarial Duties at Craigie College.
She worked in various YTS posts and then joined the Bank of Scotland at the age of 19. She worked her way through the ranks reasonably enough but promptly left following the merger with Halifax. She stayed at home for a few years and now works for North Ayrshire Council Social Services in Admin. She married Billy in 1970 and they have one fabulous daughter, Gayle. Her hobbies are varied but, with a near teenage daughter, seem to be taking a back seat to the taxi driving requirements! She would like to say "Hello" to anyone that remembers her!

Alison moved to Chicago, USA in 1984 where she worked as a legal secretary. She married Steve Swiatkiewicz in 1990. She tries to get back home to Scotland every summer to visit family and friends and would love to hear from any old friends.

Craig worked from 1990 to 1995 at Ardbride Products before attending Cardonald College where he obtained an HND in Communication. He then started work at Glasgow University Library and is presently in the Inter Library Loans department. He married Susan Longhorn in June 1999 and lives in Saltcoats. Craig plays in a Glasgow based pop/punk band called The Day I Snapped. The band are enjoying relative success. They have played as support act at sold out shows in the SECC and The Barrowlands. Douglas spent a year after leaving school at Kilmarnock College then joined Roche Products, Dalry and served a 4 year apprenticeship. He worked there for 8 years, in the factories Utilities plant, before spending a year on an SAP (Business Software Application) Implementation. In Nov 97 he joined Diagonal Computer Services (an IT consultancy firm based in Farnham, Surrey) and, since joining, has travelled all over Europe and beyond (Germany, Sweden, Italy and Australia). Douglas married Janette Kay (another ex-pupil) in August 1996 and they still live in Ardrossan with their sons Mathew (born July 2000) & Ryan (born Feb 2002). She then went to UMIST to do Chemistry with French and to Cambridge to do a PhD in organic synthesis. Karen is willing to give guidance to current students on what it's like to study chemistry - so send her some emails!

He then had a spell in the Safeway Head office but is now in Dubai working on a chain of new limited service hotels. He still retains a flat in Fairlie as a base, wherever he is working.

Gillian obtained an LL.B Dip L.P. at the University of Strathclyde. After graduating in Law she trained as a Chartered Accountant. She is currently a director with PricewaterhouseCoopers (Accountants) in London. She got married in 1992 and has two sons. Her hobbies are sleep (when baby son allows) and getting back to Scotland to do some walking and communing with nature. Gillian would love to hear from anyone who remembers her.

On leaving school, Sean played professional football at Burnley FC. He then toured with his dad, comedian Duggie Small, until 1990. He managed a health club on Tyneside until 2000. He is now employed as sales manager for a large Hyundai dealership in Sunderland. Sean is married to Jackie. They have two daughters, Hannah (born 1996) and Aimee (born 2006) and one son Andrew James (AJ for short - born in March 2010). They live beside the 'Angel of the North' in low fell. Sean keeps fit by playing squash and is still trying to become a better footballer.

Ian obtained The Diploma in Legal Studies at Napier College, Sighthill, Edinburgh. He worked as a Reciever/Liquidator for many years with various insolvency firms but has now settled into selling cars as a complete change. He married Lesley Reid in 1989 - they met at Ardrossan Academy! They have two children, Megan (born 1994) and Andrew (born 1997). After travelling the UK for the first 6 years of their marriage, they now live in Ardrossan. Ian would love to hear from anyone who knows him ..... unless he owes them money !

Douglas obtained a BSc in Psychology at the University of Stirling. He has worked in local government and the NHS since graduating, first in Stirling and now back in Ayrshire. He is currently Director of Health Policy at NHS Ayrshire and Arran although has been on secondment to the the Scottish Executive since April. He married, Lizanne and they have one daughter, Storm. Lorna got an HNC Secretarial and ended up working for Scot-West Training in Stevenston. She moved to Southampton in 1989 with her partner, Donald MacDonald and has one daughter, Sarah. She had various jobs at Southampton University in the Psychiatry Dept, and studied part-time with the Open University, eventually getting the degree of BSc Hons in Psychology. She then worked as a Research Assistant on suicide and CBT studies. She is now working as an IT Tutor in adult education. She enjoys travel and likes to get away as much as possible.

She has two children, Kim and Keiren, and is married to Roy. She still lives in the Ardrossan area and keeps in contact with most of the 'peps' she went to school with. Vicky is an IT assistant at Casterton School for girls in Cumbria. She has two children: Annouska and Ben. She is studying at Lancaster University, in her spare time, doing a degree in computing. After two years unemployment, Kevin managed to get into Brighton University where he obtained a BA (Hons) Combined Studies (Humanities). He now runs his own training and coaching business and facilitates stuff all over the world. Kevin says "Well, it's better than working for a living".
He tried his hand at stand-up comedy but now performs semi-professionally as part of an improv troupe. He met and married Catherine while still a student in 1987. They live in Crowborough, East Sussex. They have three children.

Julie left Ardrossan Academy in 1987 as her parents got jobs in England. She obtained a BSc 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and a PhD in Molecular Microbiology at the Universities of Sunderland and Bristol respectively. She now manages a molecular biology facility at the Australian National University. She got married in August 2000 to John Shaw and moved to Canberra in Australia. In 2005, they had a beautiful baby boy, called Magnus. When not playing with her son, she enjoys cooking, watching rugby, cycling (to counteract the results of all that cooking), and enjoying the fantastic Aussie wines. She would like to hear from anyone who remembers her from the days of 2S1, 2S2 and 'those terrible country dancing lessons that we had to do every December'!

Susan emigrated to Sydney, Australia in 1983. She obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at the University of WS Macarthur, Sydney. She is now an accountant and is married with two children. Her hobbies are bush walking, computers and ski-ing (yes you can ski in Australia!!).

Donna obtained a BA in Home Economics and then a PGCE. She moved to the Isle of Man to teach. She met her husband there and they got married in Ardrossan. They have two girls. She is now Head of Dept again as she was part-time for a few years. She enjoys walking on the lovely Isle of Man, travelling and eating out. She travels back to Scotland frequently but would love to hear from anyone at school.

Jackie loved her time at Ardrossan Academy and studied English at Glasgow University in the early eighties before working as a journalist specialising in features for "Jackie" magazine with D.C. Thomsons then "The Evening Times" in Glasgow. Jackie became a teacher in 1993 and now teaches English at an independent school in Edinburgh. She is married to Eric Irvine and they have a son born in 2006. Jackie also has a daughter, born in 1988, from a previous marriage. Her daughter is now a journalist in London.

On leaving school, Peter became active in athletics. He became a full Scottish International and represented his country at a world championships. He then joined the Army and has been on countless operations with the Parachute Regiment in Sierra Leone, Senegal, Kosovo, Macedonia, Falklands, Cyprus, Germany and the former Yugoslavia. She lived in Troon from 1983 until 1997 then left for the USA in January 1997. She spent 3 years in Louisiana, 3 years in Colorado, 4 years in West Palm Beach, Florida and moved back to Colorado in 2007. She is married to Ian. They have owned their own chemical company since 2001.

Martin obtained a B.Sc in Building Services Engineering at Glasgow Caledonian University. He left Scotland in1995 and worked and lived in Spain for a South American timeshare company. Whilst working as a Sales Manager in Mallorca he got a fantastic promotion to.........GLASGOW !!!!!!!!. After travelling around the U.K. for a year he decided it was 'far too cold' and packed his bags for the Costa del Sol. He is currently setting up his own holiday company in the Valle del Sol just north of Malaga.

Tracy obtained a BA (Hons) in Information Management at Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh. She graduated in 1995 and decided to go to Australia for a year. When her visa ran out she returned to Scotland and started work as a Software Tester for a company in Edinburgh working her way up to a Testing Lead. She joined a company called Digital Bridges and lead the Test Team there. She lives happily in Fife with her partner Douglas and enjoys going to concerts, festivals, movies, eating out, socialising, hill walking and getting away from it all on random weekends here and there! Murray left Ardrossan Academy in 1982, after 2nd year, to go to Algeria. He came back in 1985 and still managed to keep in touch with most of his friends - Brucey, Gav, Ali McKerrel, Tam, etc. He has worked offshore since 1989. He is lucky enough to have worked in Denmark, Holland, Norway, Brazil and Trinidad but, unluckily, has also had to work in Egypt, Morrocco , Mauritania, Angola and presently in Nigeria. He married Adriana in 1994. They have two children, Zaira (born 1998) and Marco (born 2006). In 2001, he emigrated to Queretaro, Mexico (Adriana's home town) but returns to Scotland often. After a period of unemployment and JTS in a bingo hall he joined the Diplomatic Service in 1989. He is currently finishing off three years doing short tours around the world and due to be posted to Canada early in 2002. His hobbies are history and travel.

Scott moved to Edinburgh where he worked as National Organiser for a Political Youth movement. In 1988 he moved south to Buckingham working in the IT Department of a large American Manufacturing Company. He joined Chicago based System Software Associates in 1990 working as an IT Consultant and Trainer. He left SSA in 1996 to set up his own Consultancy now employs 8 IT Consultants. He spent 1997 living and working in Basel, Switzerland. His interest include aviation, travel, countryside conservation and museums. He now lives in the Town of Fleet in Hampshire near the site of the Farnborough Airshow.

He has moved on from happy days of retail in Saltcoats to the world of politics. He was MP for Galloway and is now an independent political and communications consultant.
He married Lorna in 1994. Son Gavin was born in 1994 and daughter Hannah in 1996. They now live in the Scottish Borders where Peter runs a busy (though unprofitable) "Dad's taxi" service to local rugby matches and showjumping events.

Alan obtained an HNC in Mechanical / Production Engineering at Kilmarnock College. He became a mechanical tradesman with Beecham Pharmaceuticals (now Glaxosmithkline) in Irvine. He is now a maintenance planner for one of the buildings on the site. Alan still has a very keen interest in rugby and athletics but no longer takes part. He is a regular visitor to Murrayfield to watch Scotland play and also travels abroad to watch and support them. He is married with two boys and stays in Troon.

He worked as a surveyor/estimator for a while after graduating, then had a drastic career change and is now working as an electrical/mechanical engineer for an engineering company based in Glasgow. He is still in the Navy and has recently been Commisioned as a Senior Upper Yardsman, working as an Engineering Training Manager holding the rank of Lieutenant. He obtained a B.Sc (Hons) in Engineering and HND, HNCs in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Blackburn College and Portsmouth University. Jacqui worked as a staff nurse for fifteen years then decided to take a career change and has successfully completed her first year as a primary teacher. The weirdest thing is that she met Georgie Cance (now Edgar) in her first school where she was also working as a teacher - they spend many an interval reliving old friends and haunts.
Jacqui is still happily married to an air traffic controller by the name of Robert (nearly twelve years now). They have four beautiful daughters - Chloe(1996), Christine(1997), Jennifer(1999) and Kate (2007). They stay in Kilmarnock.

Helen left Ardrossan Academy in 3rd year and moved to Broomlands in Irvine where she attended Greenwood Academy for one year, did a YTS as a sewing machinist, moved about a bit and finally come back to Ardrossan. She married Derek Howie (also a former pupil) in 1991. She has worked as a bar maid since 1992 . She has 3 wonderful children: Martin, Jason and Sarah-Jane. In 2005 she went back to college and completed her nurse entry course. In 2007 she started at Paisley University Craigie Campus. She still stays in Ardrossan and works as an auxiliary nurse.

Gary became a mechanic at A.T.T.A. Prestwick. He moved to Canada in 1993 and is presently working in a car dealership repairing cars. He is still playing football and the bagpipes and has recently been back to Scotland for the pipe band world championships where his band was placed third in grade four.

Holly moved to New Zealand in 1986 where she obtained the degree of Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University of Wellington. She landed a part in a New Zealand TV drama and became Miss New Zealand RU in 1990. She then moved to Sydney, Australia in 1991 and is presently the Director of Sports, Entertainment and Arts Law at Gadens Lawyers. Holly has also been Event Manager for the World Rugby League Sevens from 1991 to 1994, Client Manager for the International Management Group of America and Managing Director of Kieren Perkins Management. She currently also sits on 2 boards: World Firefighters Games Brisbane 2002 and Brisbane Powerhouse. When Robert left school he went into construction. He met his wife Michelle in 1990 and they married in 1991. They have two daughters, Sara and Alexandra. In 1995 he became self-employed and sub-contracted 5 men to work for him. In June 1996 Robert and his family emigrated to Canada where they now live just outside Toronto. He still works in construction. He is a member of the Bramalea Celtic Supporters Club. Robert would very much like to hear from anyone who may remember him.

Steven obtained an HND in 'Sports Coaching with Development' at James Watt College. When he left school he went on a YTS course then to Hunterston power station Health and Physics Dept. He then joined the RAF and had tours of Ireland, Kuwait, Belize, Iraq and Bosnia before joining the Queen's Colour Squadron based at Windsor Castle.
He is now a prison officer in Kilmarnock.
He lives in Derby with his partner Lisa and Tyra, not forgetting Treaclethe Staffy. Steven says "Hi" to everyone that remembers him and a "Big hello" to all those in Miss Harris' and Mr McKenna's registration classes. If you remember him, "give him a shout".

Tim spent a couple of misguided years at Strathclyde University studying Geology. After that he was a professional vagrant in southern Europe for about three years, then decided it was time to get his act together and get a job. After some training (i.e., lots of drinking) in software development, he spent four years hacking software in London, got fed up with the nightmare commute so moved to Toronto in '91. He's still there, living in the downtown neighbourhood of Cabbagetown and is now the Chief Information Officer at an energy software company (http://www.thespigroup.com).
