Left school in 1979.

B.Eng. C.Eng. "No bad fur a lad fey up the scheme in Saltcoats (aka Disneyland)" I'm pleased that I have achieved a modest level of academia, however the most important part of my life is my wife Rosie and children.  Harris (3/97); Lorna (2/99); Cara (12/01); Arran (9/04).  These days its more important who I am than what I do.  My attitude has certainly changed since the days of 'Stoating' around the Lauriston hotel, in my Wellies.  Life can be so very fleeting, but I consider my self , thus far, to be very fortunate. Apart from 'oor Lass' as they say here in NW Cumbria (i.e. the Wife); spending two years in Malawi with VSO put my life into perspective, it has made me appreciate how fortunate I am to have been born into this life.  I still have close links (and boozy nights oot when possible) with Derek McCullouch (Saltcoats), BIG John Campbell (Oxford), Malcolm Armstrong(Workington), Alan Hair(Canada) & Alan Marshal (Australia).  Please feel free to drop me a mail, I'm happy to hear from old friends - as long as I don't owe them any money!  I'm heavily into motorbiking, sailing, concertina's, penny whistles and Bodhrans -Felling trees and cross dressing - only kidding, honest.
