Macdonald, Alexander

Left school in 2003.

Alexander is studying Computing at James Watt College.

He would like to say 'Bye' to everyone especially 'Shakey Jake' (Craig Ballantyne). He will miss 'our wee smoke when going up to the bakers at lunch time'.

MacDougall, Kayleigh

Left school in 2005.

Kayleigh is studying for an HNC in Tourism at Ayr College.

She says 'Hey to all' including Carolann, Mhairi, Amy, Angela, Shona, Sharon, Glen, Ashley, Nitram, Gazza, Cam, Armour, Ally, Lisa, Kirsty, Emma, and Joseph and hopes to keep seeing them all in the future. She also says 'Hey' to all the teachers - she will probably miss them in the years to come when she is thinking about the good old days.

She says 'Good luck to all in whatever you are all doing and have a fantastic life!'

MacDougall, Ross

Left school in 2002.

Ross is studying Forensic and Analytical Chemistry at Kilmarnock College.

Since leaving the halls of Ardrossan Academy, he has been missing everyone terribly, especially the Chemistry Department, who inspired his choice of career. Some might say 'they lit the bunsen burner of his ambition'.

MacFadyen, Shona

Left school in 2005.

Shona achieved an HNC in Music Performance from Lews Castle College, Benbecula Campus, Uist and, in 2009, graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with a BA in Scottish Music. She is now taking a year or two out from studying to focus on her music, and getting lots of voluntary work, before she continues studies towards becoming a Music Therapist.

She would like to thank all her teachers for encouraging her, especially Mr Carr, who was a great Guidance Teacher!

Macfarlane, Carrie

Left school in 2002.

Carrie is studying for an NC in Social Care at James Watt College.

She 'had good times at Ardrossan Academy'. She was there from 4-5th year. She made some really good pals for instance: Barry, Bryan, Jason and Jen, and of course the unforgetable Katie Campbell!

MacIntyre, Craig

Left school in 2003.

Craig left school to go to the University of Sport in Australia to continue his swimming , He later left the university due to injury and urgent matters back home. He then joined the RAF where he completed his twelve weeks basic training and passed with top honours In Leadership Skills.

He has now left the RAF and is a chef at the Lauriston Hotel in Ardrossan. He would like to say 'Hi' to all his old friends and hopes they are all doing well.

Mackinnon, Donald

Left school in 2004.

Donald is studying for an MSci in Forensic & Analytical Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde.

Donald says "School was great and he loved the teachers". He was Dux Boy in 2005. He works, part-time, in ASDA.

Marshall, Holly

Left school in 2004.

Holly is studying Social Sciences at the University of Abertay in Dundee. She is loving it ( especially the union ) but, to be honest, misses the 'old academy'. If anyone happens to read this, give her a 'wee email' and she will invite you up for a night out in Dundee! A word of warning though: do not expect the night life to be just as good as The Metro!!

Martin, Ashly

Left school in 2004.

After leaving school Ashly had a place at Glasgow College of Building & Printing to do an HND in Graphic Design but, instead, decided to enrole at Reid Kerr College where she obtained an SVQ 2 in Hairdressing. This took only 6 months as she had a 'head' start due to her love of hairdressing - her hobbie! She is now a self-employed stylist with plans for her own salon.

Ashly has become a keen snowboarder and even taken up figure skating with ash! She says a "Big Hi" to everyone who knows her.

Martin, Cheryl

Left school in 2003.

On leaving school, Cheryl had a great time partying.
She now works in the Kandy Bar full time.

Martin, Lindsay

Left school in 2005.

Lindsay is studying for an LLB Law at the University of Strathclyde.

After graduating, she hopes to undertake the Diploma in Legal Practice at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law, and thereafter commence training to be a solicitor.

Martin, Peta

Left school in 2004.

After leaving school, Peta headed off to James Watt College where she gained an NC in 'Supporting Children with Special Needs'.

Peta now works full time in the Hydro. She would like to say "Hi" to all her old school friends, and Mr Prasher. Peta can be normally found anywhere with bev and a dancer floor and with her partner in crime, Michelle Krynen.

Matthews, Conor

Left school in 2009.

Conor is doing a full time NC course in Office Technology at James Watt College.

McAllister, Michelle

Left school in 2004.

Michelle is working as an Office Assistant in Glasgow. She is also doing an SVQ in Business and Admin.

Michelle admits that she was not the best behaved pupil but has now grown up and wants to apologise to all her teachers for her 'bad attitude and lack of attention in class'. She wonders if Mr Todd and Mr Wallace missed her when she left?

McBlain, Ashleigh

Ashleigh joined Debenhams PLC where she was employed as a trainee supervisor for four years. For two of these years she was in hospital critically ill ! She had commenced a degree at the University of the West of Scotland in January 2010 but had to drop out due to her continuing illness. She is now employed by NHS Ayrshire and Arran having taken up a new nursing post in the John Lynch Renal Unit at Crosshouse Hospital. She currently also works in Bronzant Tanning Studio.

McBlain, Kimberley

Left school in 2006.

Kimberley is applying for the T.A. She hopes to travel to Australia in 2008. She works in Vincent's chip shop. She loved being a pupil of Ardrossan Academy and was a proud member of the netball team. She says "A big Hi!' to all her friends especially Donna and Sharon and thanks the teachers who helped her over the past six years especially Mr Todd, Mrs Jackson, Mrs Howie and Miss Murray. She will miss school but hopes to keep in contact with everyone. Her hobbies are swimming, extreme sports and chilling out with her mates.

McCallum, Gordon

Left school in 2001.

Gordon completed an HNC in Aeronautical Enginering at James Watt College. He then joined the Army Air Corps as ground crew. He has served in Nothern Ireland, Cyprus, Iraq and Canada. In 2004 he was about to do his Air Door Gunners coures then hopefully Pilots in the near future.

McCallum, Victoria

Left school in 2002.

Victoria is studying Medicine at the University of Dundee.

She lives in Dundee with two other flat-mates, one being Lauren Park. She says 'Hello' to anyone who remembers her and hopes that everyone is doing well.

McCann, Lisa

Left school in 2006.

Lisa will be starting college in August 2007 to study for an HNC in Tourism.

She is missing everyone from school and wishes she had never left because she is bored! She says 'Big HELLOS' to everyone that knows her!

McCann, Nick

Nick now works as a DJ and Karaoke host in Ayr and, since returning from Spain, he has qualified as a Chef.

He has a son (born 2007) and a daughter (due in March 2009). He is still trying to "Get that X factor deal..Ha Ha".

McClelland, Danielle

Left school in 2002.

Danielle obtained a Modern Apprenticeship in Business Admin at Jordanhill College.

She has been working for Microcom, which assists people in gaining employment. She has also gained a modern apprenticeship in Business Admin. She would like to say 'Hi' to everyone who knows her and hopes you are all doing well.

McColl, Leah

Left school in 2006.

Leah is studying 'Health and Fitness' at Inverclyde Sports Centre.

She is enjoying college very much, misses school but is glad she left to have fun out in the big bad world.

McColl, Sarah

Left school in 2006.

On leaving school Sarah moved to London, working as a waitress in a hotel. She has now moved back to Scotland and is currently living in Irvine. She is studying Accounts and working towards a degree.

She would rather be at school because she misses all her mates. She would like to say a 'big hello', and 'thankyou', to Chris Morrison, Chris Giffney, Alan Wallace and Mrs Lee because she had such a laugh. She thanks all her teachers for putting up with her.

McCormick, Sarah

Left school in 2004.

Sarah obtained an HNC and HND at Ayr College.

She says "Hello" to those who knew her at school. She says "School life at Ardrossan Academy was like no other!".

McCracken, Stewart

Left school in 2003.

Stewart left school at the age of 16 to join the army. He is an infantier in the Royal Highland Fusiliers and has been to Cyprus, Jordan, Belize and Afghanistan. He plays rugby in the army but misses Ardrossan 'Super' Accies.

McCulley, Anthony

Anthony has left the army is living in Manchester. He has a baby girl and is a head chef in a restaurant.

He says 'Hi' to all his mates, especially all the 'Montgomerie Street Crew'.

McCutcheon, Ashleigh

Left school in 2005.

Ashleigh really enjoyed her two years at Ardrossan Academy until she moved to Auchenharvie Academy. She has now been accepted by James Watt College to do Int2 Maths, Int 2 English and Higher Psychology.

She would like to thank her Maths teacher Mr Hand for making Maths fun, enjoyable and easy to learn.

McGookin, Ian

Left school in 2005.

Ian is now living in Auckland, New Zealand. He is a constable in the New Zealand Police.

He wants to say "A big shout out to all the lads" and "Hi" to anyone else that remembers him.

McEwan, Craig

Left school in 2001.

Craig obtained a BEng (Hons) Electronic & Electrical Engineering at the University of Glasgow.

He is now studying for a postgraduate teaching course in Physics at Strathclyde University, which he loves!. The Royal Navy interest is pretty much gone after serving in the reserves for four years! He is still playing rugby for Ardrossan Academicals.

McFarlane, Chris

Left school in 2008.

Chris is studying Risk Management at Glasgow Caledonian University.

His activities include banter, football, break dancing, consuming alcohol, drive bys with James Hodierne, kissing girls and maintaining/grooming his ginger facial hair.

McFarlane, Nicholas

Left school in 2001.

Nicholas is studying Forensic and Analytical Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde.

Most of his time is spent in the student union, in the Hip Flask or maintaining his huge sidies. His main interests are still football, women and Scrumpy Jack.

McGill, Emma

Left school in 2000.

Emma obtained an HNC in International Travel at James Watt College.

She is now Cabin Crew, working for Ryan Air in Prestwick. She 'loves every minute of being in the air'.

She does not really have time for socialising during the week but still enjoys a good drink at the weekends and loves catching up with people from school. If anyone wants to buy her a drink she won't turn you down.

McGill, Paula

Left school in 2005.

Paula obtained an SVQ Level 2 in Admin.

She now works with North Ayrshire Council as a Clerical Assistant in Childrens Outreach Services. She would like to say "Hi" to all her old friends and to Mrs Carr.

McGill, Scott

Left school in 2004.

Scott is currently working as a dairy herd manager at Sorbie farm in Ardrossan and hoping to move to New Zealand in years to come. He would like to say 'Hi' to all the people who know him and would like them to keep in touch. He would also like to say 'Thanks' to all the teachers who helped him to get where he is today - 'Cheers!'.

McGookin, Jenny

Left school in 2004.

On leaving School, Jenny got a job working in Hunterston Power Station.

McGookin, Robbie

Left school in 2003.

Robbie obtained a BSc Computing at Glasgow Caledonian University.

He is now taking time out before he goes into Honours - this will give him some time to prepare his project. He has currently been enrolled as Floor Manager of Auchinawa and has finally become 'awesome' at metal guitar !!

McGrath, Jamie

Left school in 2004.

Jamie is studying Hairdressing at James Watt College.

McKenzie, Brett

Left school in 2007.

Brett is studying joinery at Ayr College.

He has fond memories of being with and meeting great friends, the banter playing football at P.E. and laughing at Mr Hands' stupid jokes. He would like to thank the teachers who taught him at Adrossan Academy and to wish them all the best.

McKenzie, Grant

Left school in 2004.

Grant is enjoying Sports Coaching at James Watt College.

He would like to say 'Hello' to everyone he went to school with and would like to hear from them all. He also says 'Hello' to Mr Mclelland - 'the best teacher in the school'.

McKenzie, Kylie

Left school in 2007.

Kylie is studying Office Technology at James Watt College, Kilwinning.

She is enjoying college very much, has met loads of new friends, but misses all her old class mates from school. She sends a "Big thanks" to all the teachers who taught her and "Best of luck to all! "

McKernon, Graham

Left school in 2006.

Graham is studying Medical Chemistry at the University Of Glasgow.
He spent the summer of 2007 in Barcelona with the University and is going to Argentina in 2008 for a full year to study abroad. He is loving student life and everything involved with it. He hopes to graduate then move abroad and work in industry making new anti-cancer and anti-HIV drugs, win a Nobel prize then bake cupcakes and feed them to the homeless!

Of school, he says "Miss Murry is a brilliant teacher and laugh". He would like to thank Mrs Wilson for giving him his "advanced chemical knowledge, Ha Ha".

McKinney, Hayley

Left school in 2006.

Hayley is studying for an NC in Education and Childcare at James Watt College.

She is really enjoying this course which she thoroughly recommends - being out on a placement is amazing! Later she hopes to do an HNC in Education and Childcare, followed by a full time job as a nursery nurse. She misses all her friends from school and would like them all to stay in touch.

McKinney, Kevin

Left school in 2004.

Kevin went to Australia for 3 months after leaving school to do surfing. When he returned, he obtained an NC in Constuction at James Watt College. He is now studying to be a lawyer and would like to here from anyone who knows him.

McKinney, Sharleen

Left school in 2005.

Sharleen was studying 'Make-Up' at James Watt College but is going to begin the Police Access Course in August 2006. She misses everyone at school and all the laughs they had. She jokes that she will probably meet some of her old school friends again when she puts them behind bars. If anyone wants to get in touch, please contact Sharleen.

Lisa has obtained an NC in Engineering and is now studying for an HNC in Engineering Practice at Kilmarnock College.
She is enjoying not being at school but misses all her mates and all the good times they had together.

McLean, Mark

Left school in 2005.

Mark has an NC in Office Technology and an NC in Computing from James Watt College and, in August 2007, he will be back there doing a 'Pre Entry to Nursing' course for 1 year. He then hopes to go to university in Glasgow for 3 years.

He sadly misses Ardrossan Academy.

McLean, Naill

Left school in 2000.

Naill completed an HND Account and HONS Account + Finance at James Watt College and the University of Northumbria.

He has worked as a Business Analyst but now has a more 'Accounting' role, working with both the sub ledger and general Ledger. He is currently studying for his CIMA exams.

He lives in Stirling but has a flat in Ardrossan. 

Mclellan, Joanna

Left school in 2001.

Joanna has been working in Charles Alexander Hair and Beauty, as a junior, since leaving school. She has just qualified in Level 2 Hairdressing and is about to start Level 3. She says 'HI' to everyone that knows her!

Mclellan, Louise

Left school in 2005.

Louise obtained an NQ in Travel and Tourism at Kilmarnock College.

She currently works at Glasgow Airport for ServisAir as a check-in agent ... and loves it. She is still going out with Iain Whannel, a former pupil.

Mclemon, Kevin

Kevin has an HND in Computer Software Development.

He moved to Fife when he was 18 and got a job behind a bar. He also played rugby with Fife Lions - they were Scottish champs in 2004, 05, 06 and 07. He has moved back in to the Ardrossan area and is hoping to play for Ardrossan Accies again after recovering from injury. He has Managed Nightclubs in Edinburgh and Dunfermline and had a brief spell running Dunfermline Athletics Football Club's Training village.
He hopes that all his school friends are all doing well.

McLennan, Ally

Ally is studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bradford.

After slaving away for years in a stockbrokers in Glasgow, Ally finally decided to go to uni where she is "having a fab time". She wants to say "Hi" to all her friends and old teachers because she "misses them muchly" and she knows they all miss her too :-)

Glen is studying motor mechanics at James Watt College Kilwinning.

McLeod, Lauren

Left school in 2002.

Lauren obtained an HND in Tourism at Kilmarnock, James Watt and Ayr Colleges.

She got the opportunity to do her 'dream job' in 2005 - working as cabin crew with Excel Airways. In 2006 she went on to be a holiday rep in Faliraki, for her 21st birthday. Currently she is cabin crew with RyanAir and she hopes, one day, to see all her school friends on her flight!

Lyndsay is studying Medicine at the University of Glasgow.

Left school in 2000.

Danielle hated school while it lasted but she really misses it now and wishes she had stayed on. She would like to say hi to the people who know her or don't . She is 'on the bru' for the moment but heading off to college to study Beauty Therapy in 2002. So, if you know Danielle, you could pop in for a waxing or whatever.

McQuade, Laura

Left school in 2000.

Laura is at Jordanhill studying to be a primary teacher.

She is "doing fine" and is "really enjoying uni life".

McWhinnie, C.J.

Left school in 2000.

C.J. left school to persue an acting career. He/she was briefly working on a film project in L.A. only to find that, 6 months later, the budget was stopped and so was the film! From this experience C.J. decided to study law, as he/she was "sickened by the goings-on in the movie buisness". He/she swore an oath never to be corrupt and therfore to uphold the law and defend it in a courtroom. C.J. is currently studying Law at the University of Oxford.

C.J. would like to say "Hi" to his/her most favourite teacher, Mrs Mayes. He/she "had never felt a tingle" til he/she met her. Says C.J. "Thank you Miss, you're the greatest and will always have a place in my beed bag".

Mills, Rhion

Left school in 2005.

Rhion is studying Beauty Therapy at James Watt College.

She says 'Hello' to all her friends, who remained real friends throughout hard times at school.

Milne, Brian

Left school in 2002.

Brian studied for an SVQ 'Level 3 Kitchen and Ladder' (the 2nd step of training to be a chef) at Kilmarnock College, Irvine Campus. When he finished college in 2004 he worked with Bupa Care Services in Arran View.  He has now left that job to work with Youngscot (National) with the SP@CE project based in Edinburgh.

Monaghan, Lee

Left school in 2006.

Lee is studying for an HNC in Computing at James Watt College in Kilwinning.

Ryan is studying Engineering at James Watt College.

Cheryl is studying 'Childcare and Education' at James Watt College.

She wants to say a big 'HELLO' to everyone who knows her. She is missing the laughs she had with her friends and some of the teachers, especially Ashleigh, Bob and Fiona! She is still working in the Metro and also still playing netball at Inverclyde even though the school team was the best!

Kerry is studying for an HNC in Tourism at Ayr College.

Stephanie obtained an Admin Level 2 & 3.

She is now a Corporate Support Services Assistant for Irvine Housing Association. She is young, free, single and loving it!! She says 'A big hello to all!!'

Scott is studying Media Studies at James Watt College, Kilwinning.

He is working at the Seamill Hydro, is a proud member of the T.A. and is not missing school.

Lyle is studying for an NC in Computing at James Watt College.

He thinks that "College is great and it's nothing compared to school" so he "wouldn't even dream of leaving!" He likes hanging around with his mates and generally having a good time!

Rachel misses Ardrossan Academy and all her buddys. She misses Mr Prasher though she never liked him at school. She also misses Mr Bruce. She thanks all the teachers for "putting up with my rubbish".

Murdoch, Robert

Left school in 2002.

Robert is studying for an HNC in Electrical Engineering Approved Electrician at Ayr College.

He misses P.E. and is 'gutted that all these days are over'. Winning the athletics championships every time was a 'doddle' and he wishes he could do it once more! He hopes that everyone he knows is keeping well and says that, according to him, he is 'now officially the sexiest guy to attend Ardrossan Academy!'

Murphy, Carolann

Carolann is studying for an NC in Office Administration at James Watt College.

She would like to say 'Hey' to all her friends who are still at school (Kat, John, Fringe, Kyle, Bazza and Nicole) and to all her 'buds' who have left. She will miss you all.

Murray, Jennifer

Jennifer graduated, from Glasgow Caledonian University, with a 1st class honours in Psychology in 2007.
She is currently doing a Ph.D at Glasgow Caledonian University and "loving it". She hopes to follow a research and lecturing career after the Ph.D.

Jennifer sends a huge thanks to Dr. MacIntyre for his great teaching at Higher and says "Hi" to anyone that knows her - "Hope all's well!"

Murray, Yvonne

Left school in 2000.

Yvonne is studying Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University.

She has met loads of new friends, and thinks that 'Cali has the best Cheesy Pop night around'. She is still doing Karate and is in the uni team. She recently won the Uni British championships and her team won the women's Scottish Kumite league.

Neary, Nadine

Nadine is studying for an HND in Business Admin at Langside College.

Neill, Shelley

Left school in 2006.

Shelley is studying for an HNC Business at Reid Kerr College.

Claire is studying for an NC in Legal Admin at James Watt College.
She wishes she had studied harder at school and got better grades, but is now glad to be doing something to gain qualifications for the job she loves.

She lives in Saltcoats with her son Kelvin and her partner David who she has been with since 2003.

Vicky obtained an SVQ 2 & 3 in 'Food Preparation & Proffesional Cookery' at Kilmarnock College.

She lives in Campbeltown, Argyll, with her fiance Chris. She has travelled all over Scotland studying for her chef career which she "totally loves".

Stacey is studying for a CareStart [Social Work] at James Watt College.

She misses her old friends and the fun times she had when she was at Ardrossan Academy but she is glad to be away from the school!

Charlene is studying for an NC in Sports Peforming at Inverclyde, Largs.
She says "A big hello to all my former classmates".

Charlene is now on maternity after having her little son Tee-Jay in 2008. She is still keeping healthy and ran the woman's 5k last month. She is going on holiday with her boyfriend Christopher Dickie.

Nixon, Laura

Laura is studying for an NC in Advanced Health and Fitness at James Watt Inverclyde Largs Campus.

Gavin loved school as he could sleep in the classes. He usually sees his old chums in McDonald's or at the fishing club.

Music was a big hit as he went on to play the banjo every Saturday at Saltcoats town. He wants to say a "Big Hi" to his fave teacher Mr Clunie. "What a 'ledge".

O'Boyle, Melanie

Melanie obtained an HND in Marketing at Ayr College. "What a load of rubbish", says Melanie, "never do Marketing!"

She now works as an Estate Agent in Largs, a job which she loves.

Orderley, John

Left school in 2002.

John is studying Nursing at Glasgow Caledonian University.

He lives in Glasgow and is loving it! He enjoys nights out, rocking in the cathouse and plays drums in his band.

His favourite teacher of all time was Dr Oats ......... "A legend !"

Oxburgh, Stephen

Left school in 2006.

Stephen is studying for an M.Sc. in Applied Physics at the University of Strathclyde. He hopes to do Medical Physics one day, possibly after a Ph.D.

He does not miss school at all but is glad he "stuck in" though, as uni is better than school!

Jenna obtained an NC in Child Care at James Watt College.

She is now working in Tree Tops Nursery, which she really enjoys. She would like to see a 'Big Hi' to everyone who knows her.

Park, Lauren

Left school in 2001.

Lauren obtained a degree in Community Education at the University of Dundee.

She lives in Dundee with her boyfriend. She works with young people with behavioural problems full time now. She loves her job and is so glad she got the above degree. She still misses her home town and hopes everyone is OK. She still fancies Mr carr although she has not seen him since 2002!

Paterson, Leigh

Left school in 2000.

Leigh persued a career in the army when he left school. He is currently based in Cattrick serving with 8 Transport Regiment RLC. He joined as a driver and gained all his licences but, as time passed, he changed trades to a PTI (physical training instucter). He has been to Bosnia, Kosavo and Oman.

When he leaves the army in 2002, Leigh is planing to join the fire service, or maybe becoming a fitness instructor or some similar job.

Paton, Carly

Left school in 2000.

Carly is studying Air Traffic Control at The College of Air Traffic Control in Bournemouth.

She hopes that all her friends are 'having a great time' and asks them all to 'keep in touch'.

Paton, Jenny

Left school in 2000.

Jenny is studying 'Film and Media and Philosophy' at the University of Stirling.

She is not missing school much but enjoys sitting around watching films all day- much more fun!

Paton, Stacey

Stacey is studying Nursing at Glasgow Caledonian University.

She works part-time at Ayr Hospital at the weekends for 'extra cash'. When she gets the chance, she likes to catch up with friends and go to the gym.

Patrick, Alan

Alan is an apprentice at GE Caledonian, a company in Prestwick which overhauls aircraft engines. He is studying Mechanical Engineering at kilmarnock College full time for first year.

He still plays football for Tass under 18's and enjoys going to the Metro at the weekend. He says 'Hi' to everyone who knows him.

Patterson, Stuart

Stuart is working in McDonald's and the Lauriston hotel part time. He is also going door-to-door cutting people's grass. He is a Hamilton season ticket holder and goes to a few 'away' games as well.

Alexis obtained an NC in Travel and Tourism at James Watt College.

Ashley is studying Risk Management at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Left school in 2000.

Daniella obtained an LLB in Scots' Law at the University of Glasgow.

On graduating, she undertook her advanced Diploma in Criminology and Legal Studies.
She is now working with the Crown Office and Procurators Fiscal Service as a Procurator Fiscal Depute. She is really enjoying her job as a Fiscal but does not like prosecuting people from school!

She asks all who know her to please stay in touch!

Plenderleith, Mark

Left school in 2000.

Mark left school to join the army when he was 16. He left the army in 2003 and now works for the Royal Bank of Scotland, employed by Reliance Security. He is hoping to join the police force in the future.

Mark met his "wonderful" fiance, Sandra Gibbs, in February 2003. They are planning to be married some time soon. At the moment his life is great and he "couldn't be happier". Anyone is welcome to contact him.

Pollock, Judith

In April 2006 Judith was studying for her finals in Software Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, totally 'skint' and looking forward to starting work in September 2006 - purely for the money and not having to work weekends!

Porter, Ashley

Ashley is going to university in September 2005 to study nursing. She would like to say 'Hi' to everyone in her year and hopes they are all doing well. She misses everyone and asks that they 'Keep in touch!'

Claire is studying 'Textile and Fashion Design Management' at Heriot Watt University in Galashiels.

Hayley obtained an SVQ level 2 in Admin.

Kaylee obtained an SVQ Level 2 Business Admin and is now working as a clerical assistant with North Ayrshire Council - Educational Services. She is working towards an SVQ Level 3 Business Admin. She would like to say 'Hiya' to everyone who knows her and to all the teachers.

Rae, Mark

Left school in 2002.

Mark obtained a National Certificate in Sports Performance at James Watt College.

He is now working in Aberdeen on the rigs but will be joining the RAF in the summer of 2006 as a military police officer. He is engaged to Alison Banks who is also a former pupil.

He thanks Mrs Lamont - he was in her office so many times for getting into trouble but the seats were 'very comfy'. Mark says "Hi" to everyone and to all the teachers in the P.E. department - "you were all great".

He can be found in the Metro along with LJ - he usually has to race him to the Turkish.

Craig is enjoying playing full-time football for Glasgow Celtic at reserve team level and is hoping to play first team football in the near future.

Maxine is studying 'Social Care' at James Watt College.

She has one daughter, born in 2002, and likes clubbing, swimming and ten-pin bowling.

Kaiyliegh is studying for a BA in Education and Social Services at Jordanhill College. She is a registered childminder and works as a Supply Nursery Nurse for the council. She is still working in Peacocks.

He is currently working as a primary school teacher at Robert Gordon's College in Aberdeen and is studying for an M.Sc in Enhanced Professional Practice.

Andrew is studying for a BA in Arts and Social Science at the University of Strathclyde.

Most people knew him as 'Binson' and you either hated him or loved him, but he didnt care. He is loving living in Glasgow although having to actually do some work is a pain. He says 'Hi' to all the lads that he hung about with - school was actually not a bad time in 6th year. His favourite teachers were Mr Quigley, Dr Oates and Miss Murray.

On leaving school Leanne went on to study Childcare at college before becoming a duty manager at the Lauriston Hotel where she met her future husband, John Austin. Lauren has just Left college and is now working in Hunterston power station. She hopes to do another course with British Energy. She would like to say a big 'HELLO' to all her old school mates and everyone else who knew her.

On leaving school, Dawn went to college and studied hairdressing for a year. She then left and moved to Nottingham where she got a full time job working in Powergen and was promoted to manageress. In the evenings, she was studying at home doing a course in Business Administration before getting excepted into Nottingham Trent University on an awards ability scheme to study Law, as well as doing a night-time course in English Literature.

Besides studying, she also enjoys going to gigs, getting piercings and tattoo's, going out with friends and coming back to Scotland to visit friends and family.

Deborah was in class 2.06 until she moved back to Glasgow. She wants to say "Hi" to Catherine Sadler and John Mcarthur!!!

Alex is studying for an M.Chem in 'Chemistry with Materials' at Heriot-Watt University.
He has "still not had any lecturers to beat the best Ardrossan's got to offer!"

He is still into music, if not as organised as before. He is in the university choir. He is trying to learn several different instruments in parallel!

Semplay, Louise

Left school in 2003.

Louise was quite a 'brain-box' at school and left with 6 Highers, 2 Intermediate 2's and 8 Standard Grades. She worked in a clothes store in Glasgow for 3 years but felt that she needed a change so she decided to become a teacher of Computing Studies. In August 2006, she will study for an HND in Information & Communication Technologies at Glasgow Metropolitan College. She will then apply to Paisley University to study Computing Science and go to Teacher Training College to start her new career!

She wishes everyone a very sucessful life and, to all the first year just starting the school, she says "Be aware - Miss Semplay might be there in a few years time!"

William is studying P.E. Studies at James Watt College.

He is enjoying his time at college as it is a lot different from school. He misses his friends and 'the old teachers' that he got on well with.

Elaine is studing Social Work at James Watt College. She is hoping to join the police force in 2005 when she has completed her NC Social Work course.

She also wants to say a 'Big Hello' to all her old friends. She misses all the laughs she had with them.

Kirsty worked for Strathclyde Police for 18 months before leaving to study at James Watt College. She is currently studying Social Work at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

She has realised how easy school was. She would like to thank Mrs Clark and Mrs Lamont for all their support and nudges over the years.

Ashley is studying for an M.Sc. in Advanced Computer Systems Development at the University of the West of Scotland (Paisley).

She greatly misses her early years at Ardrossan Academy. Though her later years had a "lot of ups and downs", she has become who she is today, because of Ardrossan Academy. The teachers she misses most are Mr Sutton and Mr Clark.

Daniel studied Computing Science at the University of Glasgow and then went on to do Teaching at Jordanhill in Glasgow

He likes windsurfing, sailing, mountain biking and most things outdoors.     

Sneddon, Darren

Darren joined the Army. He has served in Northen Ireland, Cyprus, The Falklands and finally IRAQ, where he spent 5 years taking part in an 'oparational deployment'. He now joins the Foreign Legion Special Forces in France.

Nikki is now an Air Stewardess for Thomas Cook Airlines where she really enjoys being a member of the Cabin Crew. She did not like school and was glad to get away but she now misses it 'a wee bit'. Colin has moved to Dunfermline where he currently plays rugby for Dunfermline colts - he moves up to the seniors in season 2002-03. Soon, he is going to apply for a job in the Police.

Amanda is now studying Social Science at university to gain a psychology degree to be a child pychologist. She is now a sessional youth worker, a mentor for young children, an aftercare worker and also works in Newlook.

She misses Mrs Howie as she always had faith in her getting into uni ... and now she has!

Kevin is working for HMG at the Ministry of Defence base in Beith and he "aint missin' school at all"! He "bets all the teachers are missing him" though !

Bryan qualified in 2007 with an HND in Mechanical and Marine Engineering. He is currently an Engineering Officer of the Watch in the merchant navy, working with a London based company called Trinity House . He loves his career and, travelling worldwide, he has seen some amazing places!

Leighan lives with boyfriend Tomas in her hometown of Saltcoats. They have been together since 2003.

She studied Graphic Design at James Watt College but, after getting a couple of jobs, has decided to leave Saltcoats to attend the Cumbria Institute of Arts to start her BA (Hons) Photography course in September 2007 - she cannot wait!

She is still very much into music - she likes to 'hang out' in Solid Rock, The Garage and Rufis Ts in Glasgow.

Tania was only at Ardrossan Academy for about 7-8 months but really enjoyed it. She is currently doing an HNC in Health Care and hopes to be a nurse or join the Ambulance Service as a Technician.

Dale got a job as a result of going on a training course. He is going to college to study Social Care.

Townsley, Lyecia

Lyecia is currently Working In Sullivans in Saltcoats but going to James Watt College in August 2009 to sit her Highers.

She says "She really should have stayed at school!" She misses everyone from school though she still sees some of them.

Waddell, Ian

Ian is studying 'Computer Games Development' at James Watt College.

He had some of the most fun and boring times of his life at school but he was glad to move on to college to learn more - "like at college they have maths and numeracy".

Stephen is studying for an HNC in Web Development at James Watt College.

Allan is studying Physics and Maths at the University of Strathclyde.

Louise is studying Forensic & Analytical Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde. She is enjoying her course and loves the chemistry as always.

She lives in Bargeddie, just outside Glasgow, with her boyfriend. She still has the odd night out in The Metro.

She wants to say 'Hey tae everyone!!!' She is 'Missin school loads'. She advises current pupils to 'stay on it's the best fun ever, much easier at school!' She would like anyone who knows her to get in touch.

Chris is studying architecture at the University of Strathclyde.

He is loving every minute of university life and looking forward to moving up to Glasgow next year. He still works in the Waterside Inn and goesjumpin' and jivin' on Friday nights with his work mates at the local mad house. Yes, you've guest it: The Metro.'

Woods, Mary

Left school in 2004.

Mary obtained an SGA in Social Sciences at James Watt College and a B.Sc in Mental Health Nursing at the University of the West of Scotland.

She lives with her partner in Glengarnock and is hoping to emigrate to Australia. Life at Ardrossan Academy was the best years - she misses it very much . However, she still keeps in close contact with all the girls and not much has changed on that front.

Wylie, Charlie

Left school in 2001.

Charlie has been stuyding in Glasgow since 2001 and has been offered a place in Sunderland Uni to study for a BA Drama degree. Travelling America is still one of the best experiences of his life so far - he had some amazing times with fellow pupils Carly & Chris Mulvey! He has also been keeping himself busy with auditions and shows. So far he has appeared in newspaper ads, music videos, a Lloyds TSB CD and has landed a small part as a slave in a war film.

He hopes all his friends from school are "doing good and goodluck in the future".

Stuart is studying Computing at James Watt College.

He says that 'Ardrossan was a great school. The teachers were excellent at their job. All staff made you welcome and helped you if you needed it'. He misses school especially the P.E department.

Michelle is studying 'Fashion with Management' at Glasgow Caledonian University.

She is enjoying her course and has a really heavy work load - school was much easier! She misses the laughs in the "common room". Uni is robbing her of every last penny but she still manages nights out on the town! She is still drawing- people have started to commission her to create work for them.
