Left school in 2003.

Alexander is studying Computing at James Watt College.

He would like to say 'Bye' to everyone especially 'Shakey Jake' (Craig Ballantyne). He will miss 'our wee smoke when going up to the bakers at lunch time'.

Kayleigh is studying for an HNC in Tourism at Ayr College.

She says 'Hey to all' including Carolann, Mhairi, Amy, Angela, Shona, Sharon, Glen, Ashley, Nitram, Gazza, Cam, Armour, Ally, Lisa, Kirsty, Emma, and Joseph and hopes to keep seeing them all in the future. She also says 'Hey' to all the teachers - she will probably miss them in the years to come when she is thinking about the good old days.

Left school in 2002.

Ross is studying Forensic and Analytical Chemistry at Kilmarnock College.

Since leaving the halls of Ardrossan Academy, he has been missing everyone terribly, especially the Chemistry Department, who inspired his choice of career. Some might say 'they lit the bunsen burner of his ambition'.

Shona achieved an HNC in Music Performance from Lews Castle College, Benbecula Campus, Uist and, in 2009, graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with a BA in Scottish Music. She is now taking a year or two out from studying to focus on her music, and getting lots of voluntary work, before she continues studies towards becoming a Music Therapist.

She would like to thank all her teachers for encouraging her, especially Mr Carr, who was a great Guidance Teacher!

Carrie is studying for an NC in Social Care at James Watt College.

She 'had good times at Ardrossan Academy'. She was there from 4-5th year. She made some really good pals for instance: Barry, Bryan, Jason and Jen, and of course the unforgetable Katie Campbell!

Craig left school to go to the University of Sport in Australia to continue his swimming , He later left the university due to injury and urgent matters back home. He then joined the RAF where he completed his twelve weeks basic training and passed with top honours In Leadership Skills.

He has now left the RAF and is a chef at the Lauriston Hotel in Ardrossan. He would like to say 'Hi' to all his old friends and hopes they are all doing well.

Donald is studying for an MSci in Forensic & Analytical Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde.

Donald says "School was great and he loved the teachers". He was Dux Boy in 2005. He works, part-time, in ASDA.

Holly is studying Social Sciences at the University of Abertay in Dundee. She is loving it ( especially the union ) but, to be honest, misses the 'old academy'. If anyone happens to read this, give her a 'wee email' and she will invite you up for a night out in Dundee! A word of warning though: do not expect the night life to be just as good as The Metro!!

After leaving school Ashly had a place at Glasgow College of Building & Printing to do an HND in Graphic Design but, instead, decided to enrole at Reid Kerr College where she obtained an SVQ 2 in Hairdressing. This took only 6 months as she had a 'head' start due to her love of hairdressing - her hobbie! She is now a self-employed stylist with plans for her own salon.

Ashly has become a keen snowboarder and even taken up figure skating with ash! She says a "Big Hi" to everyone who knows her.

After graduating, she hopes to undertake the Diploma in Legal Practice at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law, and thereafter commence training to be a solicitor.

After leaving school, Peta headed off to James Watt College where she gained an NC in 'Supporting Children with Special Needs'.

Peta now works full time in the Hydro. She would like to say "Hi" to all her old school friends, and Mr Prasher. Peta can be normally found anywhere with bev and a dancer floor and with her partner in crime, Michelle Krynen.

Michelle is working as an Office Assistant in Glasgow. She is also doing an SVQ in Business and Admin.

Michelle admits that she was not the best behaved pupil but has now grown up and wants to apologise to all her teachers for her 'bad attitude and lack of attention in class'. She wonders if Mr Todd and Mr Wallace missed her when she left?

Ashleigh joined Debenhams PLC where she was employed as a trainee supervisor for four years. For two of these years she was in hospital critically ill ! She had commenced a degree at the University of the West of Scotland in January 2010 but had to drop out due to her continuing illness. She is now employed by NHS Ayrshire and Arran having taken up a new nursing post in the John Lynch Renal Unit at Crosshouse Hospital. She currently also works in Bronzant Tanning Studio.

McBlain, Kimberley

Left school in 2006.

Kimberley is applying for the T.A. She hopes to travel to Australia in 2008. She works in Vincent's chip shop. She loved being a pupil of Ardrossan Academy and was a proud member of the netball team. She says "A big Hi!' to all her friends especially Donna and Sharon and thanks the teachers who helped her over the past six years especially Mr Todd, Mrs Jackson, Mrs Howie and Miss Murray. She will miss school but hopes to keep in contact with everyone. Her hobbies are swimming, extreme sports and chilling out with her mates.

Gordon completed an HNC in Aeronautical Enginering at James Watt College. He then joined the Army Air Corps as ground crew. He has served in Nothern Ireland, Cyprus, Iraq and Canada. In 2004 he was about to do his Air Door Gunners coures then hopefully Pilots in the near future.

Nick now works as a DJ and Karaoke host in Ayr and, since returning from Spain, he has qualified as a Chef.

He has a son (born 2007) and a daughter (due in March 2009). He is still trying to "Get that X factor deal..Ha Ha".

Danielle obtained a Modern Apprenticeship in Business Admin at Jordanhill College.

She has been working for Microcom, which assists people in gaining employment. She has also gained a modern apprenticeship in Business Admin. She would like to say 'Hi' to everyone who knows her and hopes you are all doing well.

On leaving school Sarah moved to London, working as a waitress in a hotel. She has now moved back to Scotland and is currently living in Irvine. She is studying Accounts and working towards a degree.

Left school in 2003.

Stewart left school at the age of 16 to join the army. He is an infantier in the Royal Highland Fusiliers and has been to Cyprus, Jordan, Belize and Afghanistan. He plays rugby in the army but misses Ardrossan 'Super' Accies.

Anthony has left the army is living in Manchester. He has a baby girl and is a head chef in a restaurant.

Ashleigh really enjoyed her two years at Ardrossan Academy until she moved to Auchenharvie Academy. She has now been accepted by James Watt College to do Int2 Maths, Int 2 English and Higher Psychology.

Craig obtained a BEng (Hons) Electronic & Electrical Engineering at the University of Glasgow.

He is now studying for a postgraduate teaching course in Physics at Strathclyde University, which he loves!. The Royal Navy interest is pretty much gone after serving in the reserves for four years! He is still playing rugby for Ardrossan Academicals.

Chris is studying Risk Management at Glasgow Caledonian University.

His activities include banter, football, break dancing, consuming alcohol, drive bys with James Hodierne, kissing girls and maintaining/grooming his ginger facial hair.

Nicholas is studying Forensic and Analytical Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde.

Most of his time is spent in the student union, in the Hip Flask or maintaining his huge sidies. His main interests are still football, women and Scrumpy Jack.

Emma obtained an HNC in International Travel at James Watt College.

She is now Cabin Crew, working for Ryan Air in Prestwick. She 'loves every minute of being in the air'.

She does not really have time for socialising during the week but still enjoys a good drink at the weekends and loves catching up with people from school. If anyone wants to buy her a drink she won't turn you down.

Graham is studying Medical Chemistry at the University Of Glasgow.
He spent the summer of 2007 in Barcelona with the University and is going to Argentina in 2008 for a full year to study abroad. He is loving student life and everything involved with it. He hopes to graduate then move abroad and work in industry making new anti-cancer and anti-HIV drugs, win a Nobel prize then bake cupcakes and feed them to the homeless!

Of school, he says "Miss Murry is a brilliant teacher and laugh". He would like to thank Mrs Wilson for giving him his "advanced chemical knowledge, Ha Ha".

She is really enjoying this course which she thoroughly recommends - being out on a placement is amazing! Later she hopes to do an HNC in Education and Childcare, followed by a full time job as a nursery nurse. She misses all her friends from school and would like them all to stay in touch.

Kevin went to Australia for 3 months after leaving school to do surfing. When he returned, he obtained an NC in Constuction at James Watt College. He is now studying to be a lawyer and would like to here from anyone who knows him.

Sharleen was studying 'Make-Up' at James Watt College but is going to begin the Police Access Course in August 2006. She misses everyone at school and all the laughs they had. Kevin has an HND in Computer Software Development.

He moved to Fife when he was 18 and got a job behind a bar. He also played rugby with Fife Lions - they were Scottish champs in 2004, 05, 06 and 07. He has moved back in to the Ardrossan area and is hoping to play for Ardrossan Accies again after recovering from injury. He has Managed Nightclubs in Edinburgh and Dunfermline and had a brief spell running Dunfermline Athletics Football Club's Training village.
He hopes that all his school friends are all doing well.

She got the opportunity to do her 'dream job' in 2005 - working as cabin crew with Excel Airways. In 2006 she went on to be a holiday rep in Faliraki, for her 21st birthday. Currently she is cabin crew with RyanAir and she hopes, one day, to see all her school friends on her flight!

Danielle hated school while it lasted but she really misses it now and wishes she had stayed on. She would like to say hi to the people who know her or don't . She is 'on the bru' for the moment but heading off to college to study Beauty Therapy in 2002. So, if you know Danielle, you could pop in for a waxing or whatever.

Laura is at Jordanhill studying to be a primary teacher.

She is "doing fine" and is "really enjoying uni life".

McWhinnie, C.J.

Left school in 2000.

C.J. left school to persue an acting career. He/she was briefly working on a film project in L.A. only to find that, 6 months later, the budget was stopped and so was the film! From this experience C.J. decided to study law, as he/she was "sickened by the goings-on in the movie buisness". He/she swore an oath never to be corrupt and therfore to uphold the law and defend it in a courtroom. C.J. is currently studying Law at the University of Oxford.

C.J. would like to say "Hi" to his/her most favourite teacher, Mrs Mayes. He/she "had never felt a tingle" til he/she met her. Says C.J. "Thank you Miss, you're the greatest and will always have a place in my beed bag".

Rhion is studying Beauty Therapy at James Watt College.

He misses P.E. and is 'gutted that all these days are over'. Winning the athletics championships every time was a 'doddle' and he wishes he could do it once more! He hopes that everyone he knows is keeping well and says that, according to him, he is 'now officially the sexiest guy to attend Ardrossan Academy!'

Jennifer graduated, from Glasgow Caledonian University, with a 1st class honours in Psychology in 2007.
She is currently doing a Ph.D at Glasgow Caledonian University and "loving it". She hopes to follow a research and lecturing career after the Ph.D.

Jennifer sends a huge thanks to Dr. MacIntyre for his great teaching at Higher and says "Hi" to anyone that knows her - "Hope all's well!"

Yvonne is studying Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Leigh persued a career in the army when he left school. He is currently based in Cattrick serving with 8 Transport Regiment RLC. He joined as a driver and gained all his licences but, as time passed, he changed trades to a PTI (physical training instucter). He has been to Bosnia, Kosavo and Oman.

When he leaves the army in 2002, Leigh is planing to join the fire service, or maybe becoming a fitness instructor or some similar job.

Mark left school to join the army when he was 16. He left the army in 2003 and now works for the Royal Bank of Scotland, employed by Reliance Security. He is hoping to join the police force in the future.

On leaving school, Dawn went to college and studied hairdressing for a year. She then left and moved to Nottingham where she got a full time job working in Powergen and was promoted to manageress. In the evenings, she was studying at home doing a course in Business Administration before getting excepted into Nottingham Trent University on an awards ability scheme to study Law, as well as doing a night-time course in English Literature.

Besides studying, she also enjoys going to gigs, getting piercings and tattoo's, going out with friends and coming back to Scotland to visit friends and family.

She worked in a clothes store in Glasgow for 3 years but felt that she needed a change so she decided to become a teacher of Computing Studies. In August 2006, she will study for an HND in Information & Communication Technologies at Glasgow Metropolitan College. She will then apply to Paisley University to study Computing Science and go to Teacher Training College to start her new career!

Travelling America is still one of the best experiences of his life so far - he had some amazing times with fellow pupils Carly & Chris Mulvey!
