Being in Afghanistan has been an eye opener - he is experiencing things that he will never do again. He has been in Sangin Valley where there is a huge Taliban stronghold and Nowzad, an Afghan Police Compound - like something from the 1800's!! - which is not as hostile. He says it has been good experiencing the culture and interesting to see how the other half live!! He hopes Afghanistan gets better as there is a lot of unnecessary suffering for the majority of the population due to the 'Taliban Regime'.  His squadron's website is at www.216sigs.co.uk When he is in the UK he is based in Colchester. He is getting married in the near future. His love for Glasgow Rangers is still as strong as ever. He would like to hear from anyone who knows him.
