Visit of Lord McAvoy

Lord McAvoy, a member of the House of Lords, visited Ardrossan Academy. S5/6 pupils in the department were lucky enough to hear a presentation about the House of Lords. After the presentation Lord McAvoy spent around an hour answering some very difficult questions about his political career, voting record and his opinion on the expenses scandal and the constitutional referendum.
The pupils asked interesting questions. A vote of thanks was given by Amy McIntyre and the class thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
