| Ross from the Junk Food Roadshow gave a very lively and informative talk on healthy eating to all 1st Year classes last Tuesday. He made delicious pizzas for the pupils whilst explaining the benefits of eating vegetables, oily fish and protein foods. He also graphically explained the damage we can do to our bodies by eating lots of fat and sugar. The pupils were enthralled by his lesson which also involved demonstrating the ingredients of a beefburger which included parts of a cow's heart! 1st Year pupils can access photos of the talk in the S1 Home Economics Glow Group. |
