Retiral of Bill Caldwell: June 2007

Headteacher, Mary-Rose Martin makes the presentation to Bill Caldwell

Mr Bill Caldwell retired in June 2007 after 35 years teaching - the last 15 years at Ardrossan Academy. Bill was a Principal Teacher of Guidance and a member of the Geography Department. He started his teaching career in Grange Academy Kilmarnock, then in Kilwinning Academy before coming to Ardrossan Academy.

At Gailes Lodge Irvine around 60 friends and colleagues enjoyed a meal and made a presentation to Mr Caldwell. Bill will now have more time to spend at Rugby Park watching Kilmarnock Football Club. He is also interested in Burns poetry, he will be able to go to even more Burns' Suppers and intends to spend his retiral gift from colleagues buying a new kilt!
